Yet some people on here continue to write us off. Go figure. 🤔
It’s all looking good right this second.

The upcoming tests will be:

- Winning against teams you’re expected to beat (we look solid there at the moment),
- Winning against teams that are solid and don’t hand you the result,
- Winning against teams with genuine premiership cred.

And finally, can we do that consistently for 10 weeks.

It’s all very exciting considering our season probably should have been dead and buried weeks ago.

The fact we can even have these conversations with a straight face is a win in itself.

The way the entire team regarded each game they played was stark to what it is now. We have gone from empty to full in the space of 1 or 2 weeks. I think the catylist was the official changing and signing of coaches. I read an article uploaded by Darque about Murray firing up the forwards just after JDs exit. Very encouraging that he has a voice and they listened. I don't see anything changing in the next 10 weeks. It is now a real possibility of playing finals football.

It will also depend on injuries and suspensions to both our team and opposing teams. I reckon we're due a good run home in that department. Well I hope is what I probably should have said..

Is there a way to account for the fact that a team outside the 8 or inside the 8 affects the proportion of teams you play elsewhere? Like, there’s a certain self fulfilling prophecy to this way of looking at the draw strength isn’t there?

The fact the top 4 teams had the easiest draws says the numbers probably get skewed bad or good depending where you finish to some extent (if only marginally)?

If you make the 4, there are less teams you can actively compete against in the 4, etc.

There's no perfect way, which is why summing up the ladder position of each of your opponents is probably the fairest method.

Here's another stat:

Between Rounds 6 and 27, there were only 2 games where both Cameron Murray and Latrell Mitchell played - wins against the Broncos and Eels.

One or both of them were missing for the other 17 games.

Would stretching the threshold to the ‘top 4 sides not you/the bottom 4 sides not you’ help?

So for the top 4, games against top 5, while bottom 4, games against bottom 5?

Likewise, in the top 8, top 9, and out of the top 8 is fine as we have the extra team now already?
