Super League Finals

Hull 10 Warrington 8. Exciting game. So close for Sam. A lot of opportunities in that 2nd half but Hull just defended them out.
Literally goal kicking the difference.

I think Warrington panicked in the last 5-10 minutes too. They had the momentum, and Hull dropped the ball at least 2 times, but Warrington were trying to score off almost every play, rather than building the pressure.

I think Hull KR were deserved winners.

But it was a weird game. The whole game (almost) was played down one. You'd be pissed off if you got tickets in the other end's seats. 😂 You would've seen about 3 sets the whole game.

Just seen a shocker decision by the bunker.

There is no ****ing way the ball reached the line. Yet because of the Try/No Try, the bunker couldn’t overrule the on field decision.

There is no perfect system, and that shocker showed it.
I thought it was lucky to be sent up as a try. Pity that there was absolutely no view of it from the cameras, or the on field ref. Unfortunately that try made a difference in the end. Former Souths player Joe Burgess.

Neither side had a memorable kicking game, last play, positional or goal kicking. That's what I thought was missing. Matty Ashton, the Wires verson of our AJ, had a good game to me but that could be the position he plays and where we are lacking at the moment that drew my attention. It was a close and exciting contest for 80 mins. The standout for me was the crowd. It sounded like an English soccer game crowd. (The Warrington supporters are the ones who created the, "What a waste of Money" chant for Sandow a few years back). It was full on noise and singing for 80 mins. So 3 finals games done and a sum total of 11 points deciding the games. Tomorrow Wigan v Leigh. Sorry Leigh fans but I think there will be more than 11 points the difference in this game. I will be watching for former Souths player Patrick Mago.

If it was then it wouldn't really matter which side Wayne played him on then. 🤣
No Bruster, you plainly dont understand the subtle nuances of the nrl kick. You would surely only use this type of kick centrefield, not on an edge.

I’m a Wigan fan but semi hoping Leigh can get through from an entertainment perspective.

KR and Leigh would be up against one another in their first deciders since the early/mid 1980s.

Pretty incredible if they both make it tbh. And a shame one would have to lose.

Willie Peters into the GF. We all harp on about Sam but Willie is proving to be a top shelf boss and couldn’t be happier for him.
I played touch footy with him a few years ago in my teens. Good to see him having success, hope he gets the win next week

People say AJ scores easy tries that are stroll over tries, Liam Marshall the top try scorer in the league for Wigan on 29 tries at the moment scores the easiest tries I have ever seen.

Wigan 38 Leigh 0. Well that was one sided. Too many errors from Leigh and especially Moylan. French had a good game for Wigan. Some good long passes and a good individual try. He looks like Luai the way he plays at 5/8. The other Aussies were ok, Mago had a few strong runs and good offloads and a good game from Jai Field at FB. All up Wigan were a couple of classes above Leigh regardless of their errors. The last 3 games they have scored over 130 points without conceding one. The last team to score against them was the team they play next week, Hull KR. Great noisy crowd of 20,000. It was good to see Martin Offiah in the crowd too. Next week GF. Hull KR v Wigan.

Willie is a champion bloke and South Sydney to his core

It is a great coaching effort getting that roster to the GF

He prepared Hull really well this week to defend Warrington’s heavy preference to attack left and that’s what ultimately won them the game

Sam really looks to be getting his team up for games and it looks like they really play for their coach. But tactically he still looks way behind where he needs to be if he wants an NRL gig. On paper Warrington should of won by 20.

But we all know games aren’t played on paper
