Who and why?
Hopefully this involves sensible policy debate rather than team flag waving.

Personally, I generally vote on local issues first then a statewide overview which, a lot of the time is pointless.
My electorate his a liberal fortress hence my vote hasn’t never counted.
Interestingly though at a federal level it’s line ball between the 2 major parties. Rather unusual I believe

Anyways,
Who and why. Especially keen on specific policies that will decide your vote

Given the left wing right wing debates thrown around here I thought this would garner some discussion

I met the Labour bloke at Hurstville,I wanted to ask a question which needed some knowledge.
There was an Australia First redneck handing out pamphlets .
I put the question and the redneck started bullshitting.Chris.Minns answered my question cogently and impressed me with his manner!
Unlike that Boofhead Morrison who I had listened to when he was treasurer!

People who are ignorant voting liberal who in reality are unknowingly voting conservative.
( extreme right)

I don't usually vote for the major parties because they are too similar and proven to be liars, backflippers and egomaniacal toss pots.

Labor are no longer the working man's party, they are a left wing virtue signalling party run by the greens and they allow themselves to be bent over and rogered by excessive wokery. When I did vote in decades past I was a Labor voter 90% of the time. These days I can't bring myself to vote for what they have become.

And I feel this way for both federal and state politics.

At one time the Libs stood for decent family values and for upholding life long Aussie traditions and standards and tended to not promote or support PC bullshit and wokery. Alas they now tend to fall into a similar worship of wokery as Labor.

The only tradition they have retained is a willingness to help associates in big business get richer, and I can't support that.

As for whose policies I will vote for, well, they don't talk about their policies so I don't really know what they stand for. The Labor goose just tells us it's time for change, what a ridiculous reason to offer for giving him your vote, and the Liberal goose's message is basically "stick with the devil you know", again what a ridiculous reason to try to win your vote.

Both leaders spend most of their time telling you how bad the other side is and don't educate you on how they would be any better, what they offer or what they would do differently.

I have no idea of what Labor or Liberal intend to do for our major societal issues like homelessness, the rental crisis, inflation, the plight of the indigenous in the outback, medical care, the rampant abuse of social welfare, our failed judicial system etc etc etc because both leaders gibber endlessly about how bad their opposition is.

I have a message for both state leaders, I have no interest at all in hearing how bad you believe your opponent is, it's irrelevant. If you want my vote tell me how you will improve the issues I have mentioned above. Convince me that you care about genuine issues instead of virtue signalling wokery and you'll have my vote.

I know that will never happen because basically both sides offer us moronic liars as leaders and nothing else.

I will be voting for the Animal Justice Party, at least they actually believe in something.

Problem with voting for a w@nker party is you are wasting your vote!
Voting for Conservatives or Liberal/ Labour at least may have some influence!

That’s about the only thing I couldn’t do. I can’t Vote for a 1 policy party that will have zero influence on the result.
Personally, I don’t like their policy approach to what is a good philosophy

Last election I voted for this mob. I liked their well balanced policies.

Being in,possibility, the most marginal seat I hoped a vote for a smaller voice might bring so much needed adjustment to the mainstream parties.

They polled less than 1% from memory 🤣🤣🤣 I think the election saw both majors getting 48% each

AJP are not a one policy party, their website (policy section) is very informative.

They believe in pro choice with abortions, which I agree with, they believe in the decriminalisation of marijuana which I agree with. Across the board some of their policies are a little bit more left than I'd like but because of the way I feel about animals and nature, as long as they have a focus on animals they are worthy of my vote.

Yeah I'll be voting for The Sustainable Australia Party in the upper house to push back against over-development and I'll vote ALP/Michael Daley in the lower house to save Yarra Bay from the proposed cruise ship terminal.

Not wanting to start an argument but isn't AJP woke? I'm all for animal justice but pretty sure I'd be branded as virtue signalling if I said that.
