South Sydney superstar Latrell Mitchell is almost certainly out of the Blues’ Origin decider after picking up a serious foot injury on Thursday night.

It is understood that Mitchell – despite playing on with the injury – is considered next to no chance to line-up for NSW on Wednesday week throwing the Blues’ hopes of an Origin III win in Brisbane into chaos.

Mitchell has further scans on Saturday afternoon but there is a chance that the injury sidelines him multiple weeks.

The likes of Bradman Best and Tom Trbojevic would come into calculations to replace Mitchell.

The Blues were going to pick an unchanged line-up but the latest injury setback will dent their chances of a historic win. Mitchell was among the Blues’ best in their strong win in Origin II.

Parramatta’s Junior Paulo has been ruled out for the season after picking up a foot injury in the same game on Thursday night. Unlike Mitchell, Paulo was unable to finish the match.
 
Saw Latrell after the game getting escorted to his car by security. Didn’t see any signs of injury. Was walking fine by himself.

Hopefully something that will only be 2-3 weeks. We don’t have any luck this season.
 
I haven't seen any info about it on any of the main NRL sites yet?
And of course no members first email about it.

Update: they reported it on 2GB. Said it was from the Telegraph.

Nooooooo!!!! Please don't be serious! But that doesn't sound good.
 
He was jumping around when they did the victory song, hopefully just precautionary

OMG, how many mirrors have been smashed to pieces at Souths for season 2024.

Very disappointing and hope LM is back soon.
