the panthers were the worst hit for injuries 4or 5 years in a roww before they won in 2020

Mitchell ruled out for at least a month, Best set for Origin recall

Mitchell is no chance of playing in the Origin decider at Suncorp Stadium on July 17 and has been told that he will be unavailable for South Sydney for at least a month.

So at least four weeks with a meeting on Tuesday to determine if it's Season-ending. Pretty gutted to be honest, that's a big dent in our slim Finals hopes but it is what it is, I guess.

Fingers crossed it's just four weeks. That'd be hard, but certainly not as bad as missing the Season of course. If he needs the surgery, it has to be done, we can't have this lingering into 2025.

Gutted man.

If it's a month, then he'd be back for the Melbourne game.
 
Arrow needs the surgery now. No point delaying it in the slight hope we scrape into the 8 this year.

Get him raring to go next year with Tatola, Graham, Munro etc and go into 2025 with a hopefully healthy squad.

We are definitely due a truck load of tricks!
 
The Sharks are showing every indication that they’re about to replicate Souths 2023 cliff fall. They’ve built a big points balance in their account but now it’s being eroded and every week it gets worse. Without Nicho I reckon the Tigers this weekend will add to their woes.
It‘s probably the best thing that could happen from an NRL finals perspective given their appalling finals record, hopefully this season they miss a repeat performance.
 
Sharks will make the finals because they were on 10 wins before their slide, whilst we were on 8.

But yeah, everything else is very very similar.

Just had a look at their run home. This week is a must win against the Tigers. All other games are with teams competing to make the top 8.

This is their run home.

Tigers home
Bye
Cowboys away
Rabbitohs home
Titans away
Knights home
Dragons away
Warriors home
Manly away

Whilst they should still make the top 8 there is every chance with the way they are going now they may not get enough wins. Even if they make the top 8 you can see them going out the first week.
