He's soooooo misunderstood.

The whole support of Trump for you & Australians like you is just another battle in your endless culture war against anything you consider “woke”
It doesn’t matter what socio political issue comes to the fore, there’s a divide, whether it be immigration, trans rights, religion, anything really & Trump is the godhead of conservatives everywhere, if he wins, albeit a foreign election it’s a little boost, it’s a battle won
No doubt the constant rebuttals to what I’ve said is that old chestnut “but it’s crucial for the world, US politics affects us so much” it’s like a ****ing drone, they all say it, I’m guessing you may even reiterate now
Good luck in your puerile culture war
Ohhh hang on, “go woke go broke” 😂😂
The clarion call of the Trumpsters

Geez TTHD, that’s a tad over the top. Are you open for a discussion on those points you raise or was it just a “shutdown “ exercise 🥴

Personally I see a lot of similarities between what’s going on over there and here

It’s an uncomfortable truth that I constantly see, people so fervently all over trump, a person they can’t vote for & it’s purely for ideological reasons, most of the time they don’t even realise but you can bet they’re a conservative cheerleader & have similar ideals towards other issues, they’ll be anti immigration, mostly only if they’re Asian, brown or an alternative religion, they’ll be uncomfortable with diverse sexuality & abortion, lots will purport to be Christian & all these issues are little flash points in their endless war against what they perceive to be “woke”
You & others could gaslight & call me narrow minded on this but I know I’m correct, it’s an uncomfortable truth for some & others are just out & proud” and admit that Trump is just a figure head
As for Australian politics, they bemoan the demise of Abbott but still despise Turnbull, just wasn’t conservative enough, he was woke 😂👍🏼
Disclaimer.. I think both candidates in America are pretty hopeless, but Trump is infinitely more odious & he wouldn’t last in Australian politics with his record & i suspect most mature Australians know that but conveniently forgive his indiscretions in this foreign election because it seems to be ok in America

Huge sign US election is already over

With about two weeks left until election day, the fight between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris may already be over, experts believe.

I don't know what you're trying to achieve by posting daily biased polls and articles.

If Trump loses it will all look pretty stupid. Everything I've read suggests the swing states are knife edge tied at this stage.

I have actually tipped Harris to win but all the polls I see are saying it's likely to be Trump.

Yeah but some of the stuff you've posted is over the top biased toward a Trump win. If you look at properly conducted polls it's neck and neck, with Trump slightly likely to win due to their voting system.

Also many of these polls do not poll first time voters due to the fact that voting is not compulsory, so they think polling people who have voted in the past is more accurate.

Having said that I tip Trump to win, but anything could happen at this stage.

I don't go searching for polls but the election is very topical and they turn up in front of me on a regular basis.

It’s such an amazing shit fight of an election
An absolute media circus
Drag in any celebrity you can find
Elon Musk has turned Twitter into a conservative Republican propaganda machine
The amount of overt lies & disinformation aimed at the lowest common denominator is astounding

Geez, TTHD, you totally missed the mark, certainly when levelling those generalisations in my direction.
in saying that. Every thing you wrote can be equally applied to those who are Anti Trump

Aimed at the leftists?
.

Not really, I don’t see many people as “leftist” what does that even mean, most of the rank & file that would vote for Harris probably aren’t all that political & care about the socio political divide, lots are immigrants who just want a better life, they may also be conservative but are alienated by the type of rhetoric that comes from Trump & his supporters
The supporters of trump that are quite right & riled up by what trump says like deporting the illegals are sucked in by a showman
The American economy has flourished off the back of undocumented migrants for centuries, if he wants to reinvigorate the manufacturing industry he better leave some in the country because they’re the only ones who’ll work for peanuts

I can’t see any other reason for people to be so fervently supporting trump in this country, to the point of real animosity other than a parallel ideological stand point

Like I also said, it’s almost 100% will make the excuse, with words to the affect “but what happens in America affects us” which I get, but the vast majority don’t put an argument up to that effect, they just cheer Trump mindlessly & that leads me to believe that it’s all down to ideology & a figurehead that shares their “anti woke” views

How many times do you refer to things or opinions being “woke”?

I ****ing hate that word

I’m “anti trump” purely on a humanitarian perspective, he’s clearly a pretty horrible perdon, who’s not particularly bright, he stands there for hours talking absolute jibberish & hos followers don’t care, it’s bizarre
As for politics, I bemoan the fact that a country the size of America cant come up with better candidates, I’m not pro Harris, I just think it’s obvious that she’s just a better choice than Trump, less offensive, infinitely more intelligent
Unfortunately America is so divided that candidates have to pander to these absolute Neanderthals & the gun lobby

Surely you see the reverse side of that point?

I don’t see people fervently supporting Harris in Australia, I just see them being averse towards trump because he’s just a horrible person, anyone could be opposing Trump & people would give them the nod
I don’t see Kamala as having a particular ideology, I don’t see her as any more left than centre left; I do see Trump a fair bit further to the right than centre right
His political ideology is more extreme than the democrats
