Obviously signings and things will happen so adjust and edit as you see fit before the season kicks off.

I am going to say Roosters, Cowboys, Knights all drop out of the 8 and Broncos, Titans and Souths all make it. I think Des will greatly improve the Titans nest year having Tino back and buying RCG will help their pack.

1. Storm
2. Bulldogs
3. Penrith
4. Broncos
5. Sharks
6. Titans
7. Rabbitohs
8. Manly
9. Raiders
10. Cowboys
11. Roosters
12. Dragons
13. Tigers
14. Knights
15. Dolphins
16. Warriors
17. Parra

Panthers
Storm
Broncos
Sharks
Roosters
Souths
Cowboys
Dogs
Dolphins
Knights
Manly
Eels
Dragons
Raiders
Tigers
Warriors
Titans

You really think Rorters will be that high? Keary, Manu, Suaali, JWH, Sitili all gone and Cheese and S. Walker out half the year.

There is often 3 changes to the 8 to the previous year mate.

Wow you have the Titans very low. I actually think they’ll surprise some people next year.

Re: Roosters, it’s still a strong squad. I can see a world where less star power actually helps them. They needed a roster turnover. Lots of elite young talent on tap too.

Re: Titans, everyone outside the top 4-6 teams could feasibly finish last. It’s a tough comp. Had to pick someone. I can see the Tigers finally escaping the spoon. So someone else is gonna have to get it. Agree, while I don’t know the Titans can make the 8, it wouldn’t surprise me to see them finish closer to 9th than last.

I'm very confident the predictions so far in this thread are way off.

Their side isn't as weak as Rabbits21 thinks and they will get Manu back mid season.

On top of whatever signings they make from here

Hard to predict the ladder without the draw - plays into things a lot more it should.

If I had to guess top 4, top 8 and bottom 8/9:

Top four:
  • Penrith assuming losing Luai and Fisher-Harris doesn't completely tank them (even then, I feel like they have a concrete floor of 8th as their limit)
  • Storm are back - wouldn't surprise me to see them in the Grand Final again
  • Sharks are probably the underwhelming next team again for my 2 cents - you could argue they overachieved finishing 4th but they've established themselves as one of the next top teams under the Penrith gulf
  • Bulldogs should probably have had a better season overall - losing to us on Good Friday was 1 loss they'll probably rue, plus the Addo-Carr debacle on the eve of the Finals. If they can hit their potential they could well be Grand Finalists but I still wonder if Penrith and Storm won't be the top 2 for a while still
Rest of the 8:
  • Roosters - they seem to be allergic to missing it these days
  • Sea Eagles - also-rans but probably guaranteed 8 if the Trbojevics are playing at least 60-75% of the season based on form
  • Warriors - hoping they have a bounce back season, they're building a fortress over there and it'd be nice to see them become successful again
  • Dolphins to be the surprise package - they've been on the cusp, all depends on if their new coach can realise the squad's potential
Where are we: Not feeling overly optimistic even with Wayne's return. I think 9-12 is where we'll fall without an extremely friendly draw.

Others:
  • Raiders 9th again
  • Broncos probably won't factor back in - Madge probably needs a full season to shed the dregs
  • Cowboys to fall back out along with Knights
  • Titans will come close with their squad but still won't make it
  • Dragons to bounce back but not enough to qualify IMO
  • Wests Tigers and Parra to be the crash pads again (hopefully without us in cooee)

Firstly. Great thread R21
Think it will generate very much discussion.
Early days of course but as the season draws closer, it will be very interesting to see who got most of the top 4 and who got most of the top 8 right from their final selections just before season starts...an aside is that a bit of healthy competition amongst members never hurts eh?
I haven't got mine yet, but after reviewing the recent Foxsports round 1 predicted teams, I have a sneaky suspicion that Flanagan will have the dragons in the 8...ps, I am a pretty lousy tipper though 🤔😮‍💨

I have no idea but if we miss the 8 next year I'll run a lap around Heffron Park in the nude. Seriously.

A lot will depend if they release Ben Hunt early mate which looks more likely now. Doesn’t look like they have a succession plan though.

This thread will get more interesting coming up to and after Christmas once we know when the player movement is finalised. My predictions will likely change too. Of course most of all I’m hoping we see Souths somewhere inside the bottom half of the 8 rather than than 9-11th sort of range. Obviously I want us to be top 4 but that’s an enormous task.
