There are probably a few things that will never be the same for Lodge, or the victims too, but one of the biggest consequences he suffered is his earning power. He should be on much larger contracts instead of the lesser deals he has had to take. That adds up over the years.
Mate his profession was/is an NRL player. Why should he not be allowed to earn a living so he can pay his restitution. Then get on with his life.
There is a vast myriad of positions where what he did would be career ending. IMO being a professional, highly paid athlete on TV is one of them.
Totally agree. Mick Ennis is the poster boy for the Mute button.There's a bloke called Ennis bashing our brains in consistently every week with his commentary. Why this destroyer of Friday evenings and weekends is allowed to be associated with our game is more important than worrying about a bloke who's already done his time.

Well there were a couple of years, 3 I think, where he did not play. I don't think the Roosters paid much for him and he was on a train and trial deal at Manly at $1,000 per week. Regardless of his mental acuity, his earnings have been severely affected since the "incident". And that is still taking into account his large contract at Warriors and Broncos.
While he is ok to return to the NRL he hasn't earned the right to have his own thread. The Pride does have higher standards.
