As far as Lodge is concerned, I’m a big believer in team culture, cohesion & harmony are just as important as talent & im not sure we need the distraction of Lodge, I could be wrong

I also believe that any concern people raise here either isn’t a real concern or Bennett s already has it covered

I am firmly in the camp that he should be forgiven, and everyone should move on. He did an awful thing ten years ago. It seems as though he did everything he could to make it somewhat right too, so the guy has done his time.

If, and that's an if, he came here, I'd welcome him with open arms.

The roosters and manly were roster/money related. It may also have been at the warriors but he did have a bust up with the owner, possibly over money…….from what I recall

This is my concern as well.

I have no problem signing him due to what happened ten years ago - I believe in forgiveness and giving people a chance to redeem themselves.

But...why is it that he could not last more than a season or two at his previous clubs. We should steer clear of players that are bad for team culture.

I have no idea to be honest, but using complete guess work, it may be pay related. Example signs with Team A at a reduced contract rate due to his reduced earning capacity from his past indescretions, plays well for a couple of seasons and gets offered a contract with another club for 50k plus more than existing deal, which at that level is significant.

What leads me to this way of thinking is that there doesn't seem to be any complaints from previous clubs about his behaviour or form.

I really don't know, but trying to build his pay up by around 50 to 100k every two or three seasons seems to make some sort of sense.

Again, I agree, the multiple club departures are suss.

But also again, Wayne has worked with him before. If we are in fact interested, it would be with Wayne’s blessing, and I trust that more than my casual concern re: his recent departures.
