Match Discussion Round 4: Rabbitohs v Bulldogs

A step in the right direction. It’s a win. Never going to be upset after a win.

Defended much better. Can only defend what’s in front of you. What I did like is some of the big hits that forced knock ons.

Whilst we still have plenty to improve on we got the 2 points.

It’s a solid run of 30’s for us.

Brisbane averaged 33k at home last year, so I’d assume they must have had a few runs like this.

Back to reality next week, Saturday Arvo agains the Warriors at Accor. 16-18k?
20K if it's good weather, Warriors have a lot of fans here.

Crowd was close to 70/30 to the Dogs today.

Things at Easter can be tricky with family stuff etc…. No excuses for our faithful next week put the colours on get out there and support our lads! Looking forward to seeing ya next week @cmorrison9 let’s hope the boys give us a few things to cheer about and we can get the South Sydney chant going. But for now let’s enjoy this win I sure am! Loved it today with Callmack!

Just having a look back to when we last played the Warriors at Accor. It was 2017 where the crowd was 6,000. Before that it was 2011 where we had 11,000.

We have played them over in Perth, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Commbank during covid lock down where 400 people were able to attend.

We are on a winning streak of 8 against them and 14 of the last 15 games. We also haven’t won 2 or more in a row since the Tigers game last year at Accor.

Our biggest crowd in Sydney against them is just under 14,000. Will be interesting if we are able to break the 15,000 mark.

So far this year we haven’t played in front of a crowd under 35,000.

The enjoyable thing of this win is seeing so many bulldogs fans cry and say the Refs won Souths the game and giving them shit about

It’s a shame we didn’t have a better start to the season this year. We haven’t had a period really where both us and the Bulldogs are going strong early in the season.

Still remember getting over 50,000 in 2013. Even the following 2 years there was over 40,000. That was the last year where both teams were going well at the same time.

It seems the 30k-35k is where it’s at for now.

Also so many people out for blood on Trell saying he should be sent off or suspended, it's fun giving these people shit as well.
