Tis a bad flu season I had it 7 weeks ago now I’m very crook againThat does make sense, but I’m sure he had the flu a few weeks back when we were up in QLD.

Chris Lawrence.Who?
Recall him laying down and getting Nathan Merritt on report and subsequently suspended for a good wingers tackleChris Lawrence.
Seizer got 2-3 weeks for Jye’s “milk”And it was a highly illegal tackle.
NoI fall for it every time, but is Taane becoming a pretty decent NRL centre?
I know he’s much derided on here and has a brain explosion in him (which I think people weigh higher than they should at times - cause it hurts), but does he offer more at centre than a safe and predictable player like Tass does?
Yes he’s 29, but the last little bit has me wondering if he’s just an incredibly late bloomer.
And don’t get me wrong, I’ve dreaded seeing his name on the team list at times in the past.
But I find myself in a position where if we were fully fit (and Wighton was required in the halves), Milne and Gagai might still make my side.
I also though he was one of the few players who consistently tried pretty much every game during our early year dark period.Taane can be a valuable part of the squad. I see him as a depth player that would be good to fill in if required.
The good work he does gets unnoticed for most part. It is the howlers that stand out that frustrate people.
I wouldn’t be against having him for depth next year.
Not a centre. Back row. He has all the skills for a good backrower. He stands in a tackle, runs hard, has very good passing skills and has a good offload. He has played backrow before but not for us. Would be a good option coming off the bench.I fall for it every time, but is Taane becoming a pretty decent NRL centre?

I semi agree. Would you say he is redlining right now? I think this is as good as it gets and I suspect a dip is coming soon (not a knock on him, just thats how it generally works for a player of his level).I fall for it every time, but is Taane becoming a pretty decent NRL centre?

I think he’s become more comfortable playing footy above and beyond just being physical.I semi agree. Would you say he is redlining right now? I think this is as good as it gets and I suspect a dip is coming soon (not a knock on him, just thats how it generally works for a player of his level).
The one thing with Taane is you can guarantee effort and about 20 carries so thats always a good start.
