That sort of thing may happen at other clubs BUT NOT AT SOUTHS??? Tell me it isn't so JR.Like someone crossing the line for a try but passing the ball to their winger to touch it down so he can top the annual try-scoring list?

It's the combination of the one pass hit up and worst kick returns in the comp stats that do it for me.
It's infuriating. It's prime JD ball and I don't understand how nobody even slightly thought to change it.
Just over and over presenting ourselves to the opposition, with no courage.
I know Bennet will retain this style somewhat but I really need to see us actually play to our roster.
For me our roster screams offload and second phase. We literally do not have a 7 or 9 to control the game or win kicking ascendancy. We have a bunch of instinctive backline players and a lightweight forward pack.
I do not understand sending our players bodies to the slaughterhouse when collectively they haven't been able to get on top of an opposition team for 20+ months.
Really gets me riled too this unimaginative one pass of the ruck hitups ... especially given our forwards roster ... what was left of of it and how they played. It's the combination of the one pass hit up and worst kick returns in the comp stats that do it for me.

We never do that anyways either though.Personally, people put too much emphasis on that stat. I am in the try scoring winger camp rather than the metre eating winger camp. Maybe I too old school but would rather a Khan-Pereira than a Sivo. With the right plays and wingers you can make more down field with an overlap on tackle two that a kick return on tackle one.
