As good a prospect May is there is no way I would want him here. If the scuttlebutt about shagging another players misses is true then he is not a good fit for WB and us.

However, a guy like Leo Thompson is a different matter. Having him here would be great.

Agreed, WB will concentrate on player moral and being there for each other in defence. Then if we can defend our line like the Dolphins did the last two season we will be in the finals.

I think the club should have responded back to Anasta and said if he ain't happy then we are happy to release him ASAP from his contract and throw it back on him.

Now we still unsure if he will be here or not while their is a current player frenzy happening where we could use the money.

At the time this was blowing up in the media I think the Club was in damage control but who knows….

I don’t know exactly what Anasta said & in what context but the club sets itself up for a shit fight if they do that, if he’s going to be at the club you’d rather have him in the right frame of mind rather than him being told he’s not wanted, if he wants out Braiths been around long enough to explore options & then go to the club with a suggestion, it’s pretty obvious anyway given they’ve signed Dodd & he was in reserves before he got injured

It was actually News Ltd

They owned both Brisbane and Melbourne at the time and just wanted to move GI to their other franchise

When we stopped it News lost their shit

Point being though. We didn’t have the cap space for GI and signed him anyway.

Worried about the details later and moved on a junior to make it happen. And yeah there were posters back then who weren’t happy about it
