In my opinion, I felt the sets were good, acting was good, props were good, especially the REAL Tiger tank.
Some of the story was good but I had concerns with lack of gunnery by the Germans. They missed sooooo many times. German anti tank gunners would have made easy meat of the US tanks. The Tiger would have needed 4 shots to take out 4 tanks. It would never have moved forward. Its great advantage was it could kill from a distance as well as being almost indestructible from the front.
But the last scene took the cake. Why they felt the need to stay when their tank was disabled, I'll never know. It's 1945 the war is almost over.
Anyway, a largish group of SS marching along the road. Where were the US fighter bombers?
Now the US soldiers ambush them and get in a burst of fire. OK. Now what will a highly trained and equipped unit do next? The best soldiers the Germans had at that stage of the war.
'Excuse me Herr Oberst, do you think we should go around the back of the tank and attack from the rear or from both sides at the same time?'
'Nein we must attack in a frontal assault so we can get mown down in large numbers'
'Herr Oberst, it is just one single tank, that cannot move, can we just make a wide berth and go around the tank so we can get to our objective?'
'Nein, we might get mud on our boots. Anyway, that will mean there is no action with lots of German soldiers being shot with no Americans dead. Haven't you seen American war movies?'

I have tried to watch Fury about 3 times and turn it off after about 20 to 30 mins, I find it a snoozefest to be honest. Might give it another go soon.

'The pianist' was wonderful
Boys from Brazil- just watching such brilliant performances from some of the best actors of all time.....and I have never seen a nude Prunella Scales. Basil would not approve.

Most American war movies are straight out propaganda.Saving Private Ryan actually showed Yanks getting killed.Same applies with Fury. The ending was ridiculous!Generally an American soldier killed a 100 Germans or Japs Before getting wounded in the hand!
John Wayne movies were generally total bullshit centred around the super star!
End of story!
Read the truth about that dick MacArthur.Total B/S.A liar competing with Donald Duck!

Very true. COMBAT was a beauty. I actually rooted for the Germans. SPR was like a lot of DDay movies- they always went to Omaha.
I suppose most countries are like that. WHITE TIGER is a great Russian war film that is pro Russian, I suppose naturally. BAND OF BROTHERS refers to a lot of soldiers being killed in THE REPLACEMENT, but earlier episodes do not show this. The Germans are the best like DAS BOOT. I suppose they are trying to exorcise their past.

Das Boot is a really fop shelf war drama.
The Russians have been vilified by Western propaganda for centuries.
They used to have cannon sited around Botany Bay to stop the Russians invading!🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Looking at it objectively the Russkis sorted out Napoleon and Hitler very nicely!
Paths of Glory was American but is considered by many to be the best anti war movie! You are there!
The number of rubbish war movies on the net is absurd, violence promoted everywhere!

Yes, Clinton & Biden demonising and lying about those Ruskies just so they can win an election

I knew deep down that you agreed with The Donald🫣

Never mind I know that fair comment isn’t your big suit.
How are the National Socialists doing,Swastika has been banned by the intelligent pollies not your mob they still have their head up their arse!

Best ever line
" A wink from a pretty girl at a party does not always result in climax, but a man is a fool not to push a suggestion as far as it will go'.
I don't know how you remember lines from movies. There's very few I remember, but I had a mate who could rattle them off at will, accurately. This was in pre internet days so he was going on what he remembered seeing a movie a couple of times. Well done!

About the only one I can remember is "go ahead, make my day", due to the few words.
