Fury was a v.g. Movie imo, most American movies are propaganda, except when they won the Battle of Trafalgar!
In my opinion, I felt the sets were good, acting was good, props were good, especially the REAL Tiger tank.
Some of the story was good but I had concerns with lack of gunnery by the Germans. They missed sooooo many times. German anti tank gunners would have made easy meat of the US tanks. The Tiger would have needed 4 shots to take out 4 tanks. It would never have moved forward. Its great advantage was it could kill from a distance as well as being almost indestructible from the front.
But the last scene took the cake. Why they felt the need to stay when their tank was disabled, I'll never know. It's 1945 the war is almost over.
Anyway, a largish group of SS marching along the road. Where were the US fighter bombers?
Now the US soldiers ambush them and get in a burst of fire. OK. Now what will a highly trained and equipped unit do next? The best soldiers the Germans had at that stage of the war.
'Excuse me Herr Oberst, do you think we should go around the back of the tank and attack from the rear or from both sides at the same time?'
'Nein we must attack in a frontal assault so we can get mown down in large numbers'
'Herr Oberst, it is just one single tank, that cannot move, can we just make a wide berth and go around the tank so we can get to our objective?'
'Nein, we might get mud on our boots. Anyway, that will mean there is no action with lots of German soldiers being shot with no Americans dead. Haven't you seen American war movies?'
