2024 Pathways Sides

Chee Kam didn’t play so either he’s injured or they’ve pulled him as the must be considering him at centre next week. Knowing JD though it’ll be Kennar again
Hi might be crook because he wasn’t at the season launch last night either.

Some guys on the Warren saying Burns and Milne were not too good unfortunately
Not sure from the highlights it looked our RHS was torn apart but the problems looked to be inside Milne.

Sounds like first grade leading early in second half then capitulate

As for the NSW Cup match, Milne was probably the best of an average set of outside backs and likely takes Kennar’s spot on the right wing, with Gagai moving to left centre (assuming Chee Kam doesn’t play centre). He ran hard, tackled hard and created some second phase opportunities. He got caught defending a 3 on 1 for the 3rd Manly try, but nothing he could do there short of an hail mary intercept. Had a late dropped ball coming out of trouble too, which wasn’t great. But neither Burns or Te Hau put their hand up.

Manly gifted us plenty of possession with penalties and errors. Lost count of the number of Manly knock-ons. When they tidied that up in the later second half it was more of a contest (Skelton, Hawkins and Chapman had some troubles numbering on the right for 2 tries in particular). We got the dropsies in the final 20 after being strong in the first half.

All the regular names were strong, Gray, Mamouzelos, Shaq, Duncan… Hawkins kicked well as always. But those are the only guys that should trouble first grade this year from that side.

3 - Gray
2 - Mamouzelos
1 - Duncan / Mitchell

Just on Gray, he might be a half, but he looked every bit a fullback yesterday. Didn’t get any hint he was a player playing out of position. Good under the high ball, positioned well, cover defence to save a try, chimed into the backline for try contributions, and ran for 160+ metres. Got bundled into the touch by 3 players once (he’ll learn from that) but was otherwise very safe.

Poet just on Milne,I thought he had a good game in the CS.JD promotes Kennar.
I just can’t understand ignoring Milnes form

He’s the incumbent right winger. He’s more experienced than Gagai and Kennar. And as you said, he played well in the Shield.

He wasn’t amazing for NSW Cup the other day mind you, but better than the rest.

The only thing I can think is that JD didn’t want to risk Gagai debuting at centre, or there’s some right side specialisation stuff going on with Gagai and Milne?

If that was the case, JD was left with no left centre option other than Kennar, and I assume Gagai got the nod ahead of Milne on preseason form assessment.

It’s a bit of a head scratcher.

Is it possible Taane couldn't travel to the US?
