2024 Pathways Sides

He goes very well there and it’s the best way to give he, Teaupa and Ilias 80 minutes each week.

In fairness I don't think we have seen enough of him at fullback to be able to say "he goes well there".

He's also a bit of a worry heightwise at fullback, I'd hate to see his motivation killed off from getting smashed.

He is an outstanding talent who has played in the halves all his life. We need a classy running half with speed asap. For once can we take the logical step with our development and develop towards the future, develop him with that natural talent then we have one half sorted for the next decade.

The other reason I don't get it is we have Tyron Munro as a future fullback who is one of the most natural looking potential fullbacks I have seen in years.

Yes, my concern with Gray is that he will get rag dolled a lot, like Taaffe and a few before him, once the opposition wake up. It was i e of the reasons we got Latrell. Size & power at the back.
Munro, when last seen, looked to have bulked up significantly which I didn’t think he’d do. He may well be a great FB option

That's a heck of a NSW Cup side. Tempted to go Friday night now to see how Gray, Fletcher, etc go and to see how Ilias responds.
Interesting that Isaac is centre and Burns is on the wing - I wonder that is how they line up

I watched him in the Shield and in round 1 vs Manly NSW Cup. I’m sold. I’ve seen enough. Might be a better half, but will be able to debut and perform well at fullback too.

And playing fullback will only help his skills development. Didn’t hurt Nicki Hynes playing both halves and fullback, nor Hughes and Munster.

The game I saw a few weeks back, Burn’s defense was woeful.
stay on the wing old boy and just use your pace

Burns is a much worse winger than he is a centre.

It took us a while to figure that out last time her was here, you’d assume someone at the club would remember that.

Hopefully Thompson is playing centre to ensure Kennar never has to be called up again. Kennar is a better winger than centre.

2 Gagai
3 Burns
4 Thompson
5 Kennar

Is this going to be the thread for the pathways teams for the entire year?

Someone (@RabbitJ I think) was posting the teams for each week as a sticky.

Would be great to get back to that.

Reminder not to sleep on the NSW Cup game tonight just after 5pm.

Both for those going to the game, plus I think it’s being streamed on the NSWRL app.

Hopefully Gray and Fletcher have joint MOM performances.

If anyone can find a link to a live stream, please post it.
