Match Discussion Round 8: Rabbitohs v Storm

Honestly mate if you have to throw insults around why bother trying to have an actual opinion it’s childish. If you can’t see the difference between being punted and leaving with one game left when you had already accepted another role then I can’t help you. It’s a pointless argument.

You took a point of mine, lamenting the fact that all this club have communicated to us in the last 12 months is a blatant lie about releasing Sam (instead of you know, the head coach, the recruitment and retention team, the doctor who keeps clearing players of injuries only to send them out and get hurt again) and instead turned it into a semantics game over how you define 'release' because you think Sam exiting the club with 2 weeks until the end of the season isn't being 'punted'. Even though we could have played finals and extended our season as well.

You deserve to be called out for such a goofy opinion.

Every single suit, smile, and staff that allowed this rot to set in, as of right now, remains. The two assistant coaches who identified issues are long gone.

That is my entire point and you took it to such a goofy place.

the most concerning part for mine is even if we sack JD, which absolutely is inevitable, it is very very unlikely we’re going to get a new coach in that is genuinely exciting.

There’s just nothing out there. People saying throw cash at Bellamy etc are dreaming. And it’s nice to dream. But it ain’t reality.
Bennett will turn it around in the short term.

Then we either keep him for as long as he wants or sign the next best coach available.

If you dont aim high for the likes of Bellamy, Cleary etc then you never are gonna land them.

😂😂 love a good respective response. Just admit you got called out on your bs and move on it’s easy.

exactly how they operate.
I note he backed peddled from ”punted” to “released“ and then ran for the hills 😆😆😆

But knowing the simpletons in suits that run this joint,

Given your standing/history within the club and given you venture to training regularly, I’m sure you’ve spoken to the “simpletons” and told them they are “simpletons”

😆😆

It’s not about aspiration or aiming high. It’s about living in reality.

Bennett is likely the only possibility of those you mentioned. Cleary’s not leaving the Panthers, Bellamy? Haha.

Even with Bennett, the only scenario where I see it working is if we had Wayne for 3-4 years and then add Sam in (if he’s ready or capable which despite his 9 minutes as a head coach, we still have no idea). On Wayne though, when was the last club he went to and allowed them to dictate the ‘succession plan’ rather than it come from him? Wayne’s about Wayne. I wouldn’t be treating it like a done deal by any means.

Madge has an opportunity to add a bow to his career coaching achievements. He’s not going to come back to South’s instead. No matter how much he loves the place. The timing isn’t right.

So it’s likely Bennett or an out of left field choice or an underwhelming addition.

More to the point, when Wayne was here it was the same mob tearing him apart as well,😆😆

I will not respond to another one of your posts so we can end it here. Keep throwing insults it shows your level of maturity. The facts are you are moving the discussion. Yes he was released with one game left which is something Rusty didn’t want to happen hence the emergency meeting they had. Given there was only a game left there was no pint trying to mend the relationship between Sam and JD. To say he was punted is not true. He accepted another head coaching role while we were still top of the table.
