Good news, next we need to hear they have worked out he's a half and we need some spark in the halves, because Hawkins and Walker can't provide it. at the moment.

For me, I'm not going to comment on anything in regards to Jye being our fullback once Trell returns. I want to give him some time and see how he goes in the next two games. A lot can happen and it's only early. I admit, he looks the goods and I really like him, but we can't fully judge him off one game.

We have the Storm and Panthers the next two games and that's as good a test for Jye as any. If he performs well, the spot is his for the rest of the year unless Trell returns so well he demands the spot (unlikely). If he struggles, then maybe re-think for this year and get a more long-term strategy for Jye.

The kid is our future for sure but whether he'll be our fullback for the rest of 2024 or not remains to be seen. I say re-visit this discussion in a few weeks.

As long as we all accept he is going to make mistakes, miss tackles and have down spots. We need to manage expectations as it will only harm him in the long run as most likely fans will turn on him.

There’s not a hope in hell of that happening. Have you not been paying attention to what goes on in here🫣

I said a month ago play him at 7. Neither illias or Hawkins are up to the task - its just that blindingly clear.. Jye is too small for FB and will eventually get spotted and pummeled out of the game back there,
