2025 NRL Squad & Football Dept. Tracker

lots of clubs bend the rules and pay money under the table for the best young players.

We don't do that, we pick up whatever is left or rely on some good juniors to come through.
 
Now that the club is focussed on next year as far as announcing staff, I’d expect that we should be getting information re pathways & junior reps soon

With the reintro of WB, I wonder how recruitment will go ... will there be too much of a short term focus without looking at longer term strategies?
I think we all want big results and soon, but the balance (including getting/developing/holding top pathways players) is crucial.
 
The South Sydney Rabbitohs full-time training squad will begin to return to training for the 2025 pre-season next week under the watchful eyes of the new-look coaching staff installed at the Club for the upcoming season.
The Rabbitohs currently have 28 players contracted to top 30 contracts, with a further five players contracted to supplementary list contracts.
South Sydney will also have a further 12 players completing full-time training for varying periods during the pre-season build up to round one of the NRL season in March, including four players from affiliate club, the Townsville Blackhawks.

Some interesting names in pathways. Michael Roberts, I assume, is the younger brother of James Roberts and was inititially signed by the Dolphins from school. Probably followed Wayne for an opportunity.

Looks grim when you chop it up like that! More than ever we’ll really need some guys to really shock us over the off season from Flegg/Cup.. or hope we fill those one of those remaining 2 spots with a May or JAC.

This is interesting detail.

Is Nazareth Taua any good? See he lined up as an edge backrower at times for Flegg last year.

Glad to see Biondo-Odo listed. I really liked what he showed in a game against us (might have been his debut?). At least provides yet another fringe 9 option. One with speed too.

Good to see Humphries will spend the summer with the big boys too.
