West coast, out of Vancouver.

One of the crew was a young Aussie lady who told me it was the best whale spotting day she'd seen for 2 years. Sometimes they see no whales apparently, but we were incredibly lucky. Saw three separate pods and they kind of hung around the boat a bit.

The only downside was I was there in summer and it was very smoky from forest fires that blaze for months. There were warnings to stay indoors which I ignored. I like hiking so struggled a bit up some of the mountains.
