Injury & Judiciary Reports

Aaaand another f**king calf injury last night! For f**k sake these claf injuries are beyond ridiculous now surely.

This time, it's Jack Wighton as he failed to finish the game last night. Hornby said in his presser that the way our Season has gone, he probably won't be available next week.

Ughhhhhhhhh I would like to scream.

I absolutely despise the match review committee.

They are not acting in the best interests of the game, they are weasels who do the bidding of the referees to legitimise obvious incorrect calls on the field.

I despise Graham Annesely and his wankathon monday press conferences where he lies openly in a bid to deflect critiscism from his referees.

The press conferences do nothing but add anger. Even in the very rare occasion he admits that one of his children erred in a decision, who the **** cares? It won't change the horrendous bad calls and accountability really means nothing after the fact anyway.

James Graham talks to Campbell again about his sternum rehab, etc.

Also, likely as honest an insight as you’ll hear from a player point of view regarding our performance the last 12 months.

Got a quick run down for us?

Got a quick run down for us?
Quick rundown : He shut all the conspiracy theories resonating from our fitness experts on here down who were blaming our high performance team, including doctors, with his explanation of his injury and management, having said that plenty of us knew they were full of sh.t from the start. He also mentioned getting needled up and how there was a long line of others getting needled as well. Pretty much what happens at every club.

Campbell Graham wrap-up:

Some insight into what it’s like to be needled up 4 times a game to play.

Some talk about the mental side of not playing and who you are if you aren’t contributing in your passion/profession.

Some stuff about the loss of confidence from results and injury working against players efforts to try to right the ship this year.

The pressure that comes with running out each week wondering if you are playing for the coaches job.

Some talk about coming into grade and GI setting the standard for what an elite NRL player was.

And his hope that the Liam Knight rumours are true as he’s one of the most interesting people he’s met, and a real professional in how he approaches his training, etc.

If that’s the case, it’s such a shame he doesn’t use all the fitness and training to learn how to catch and hang on to a football.

Really not good about Wighton, but that's just the way this Season has been. Sucks.

The rest sounds very positive on the other guys!

Tom Flegler has been out most of the year with a shoulder, trying to rehab it without surgery.

Well, guess what? Today they announced he’s having surgery and will miss up to 6 months next season as well.

I wonder if the Phins will be crucifying their rehab team?
(And before anyone jumps on this mistaking it as support for our high performance team - don’t. Just pointing out another conservative first approach that didn’t work).

As anyone who has had orthopaedic surgery will attest: surgery is the last resort.
