My wife and I are currently in China and will be till the end of the month. As I knew would happen access to the outside world is restricted. My VPN is blocked so I have no access to Gmail, WhatsApp, FaceBook, Youtube or funnily enough TikTok. However, joy of joys I can get the Pride. How lucky is that. I can keep up with the only thing that really matters in life.

I can only dream of not being able to access emails, whatsapp, facebook, tiktok, and youtube. Sounds like paradise.

Work or pleasure?
I look forward to some intel mass I’d love to get there some time. I’ve seen some doccos on China that show a very different perspective to what we see in mainstream media

Been twice on holidays to 5 or 6 different cities. Awesome place to visit. Lovely, friendly people. Felt safe. Great food and an interesting culture. Last time I went was about 8 or 9 years ago. Even then (post Olympics) I was still a bit of a novelty by being a westerner in some places.

Loving it here. Have been to Beijing. Is what you expect of a capital city. Now in Xi'an home to the terracotta Warriors and the end of the SilkRoad. Great spot. Loads of cultural stuff here, wonderful food and friendly people. Chinese people are great. They have wonderful sense of humour and very friendly. Off to Tibet tomorrow. That will be a challenge. Hoping not to get altitude sickness.
