2025 Positivity

Looking forward to our right side with CG and Ty I can see plenty of points there as well.

Yeah you need some injury luck, but that’s true of any squad and season.

The current squad we have is not a not top 4 side. Maybe bottom of the 8 at best. When you look at it closer, it is not as impressive as you're making out. Let's see, Latrell, good for 8-10 games a year, Munro?? Wighton was pretty ordinary this year and he's on the slippery slide on the other side of 30, likewise Walker his use by date has expired. Graham and Tatola like Munro?? are they over their injuries to be confident?c Keon is hot and cold like a kitchen tap. Arrow and Aitken are nothing special. Duncan and Cam are our best players and stand out like dogs ballz

Yes, if you take a glass half empty approach to the squad, sure.

Below is the core side that Bennett took within a bee’s of the 2021 Premiership and the replacements where applicable:

(Disregard the 2025 positions, I’m just doing a straight comp for the 2021 GF line up with Latrell added).

Like I said in the original post, if the 7 and 9 work, and the wingers can stay healthy, it’s a very good looking squad which should feel quite familiar to Bennett.

He’s shown what he can do with a squad that has this pedigree.

It’s certainly a better squad than the one he had in 2020 when we got beaten 20-16 in the Prelim with Allan, Sironen and Knight in the starting side.

I’m absolutely pumped and excited for next season. Particularly high expectations around our fitness, which should lead to better attitude, defensive resolve and commitment.

Top 4 definitely.

Can I mention anything about Cam's injury and how we've kept our medical and rehab staff who have been so good the last couple of years. Watch them turn 3-5mths into 12

Again...there's a whole thread literally dedicated to people putting shit on the club about our rehab efforts.

I think it's called Injury & Judiciary.

Perhaps alter the diction for this thread. Due to the cautious approach taken by our medical and rehab staff Murray may miss the start of the 2025 season. This will give Duncan or Keaon a great opportunity to start in the middle where they are the most effective.
