In my opinion, Melbourne and now Penrith are the benchmark.

Melbourne has been in the top 8 for over a decade. They are consistent performers.

The roosters management normally pull the right strings, not afraid to cut players, sign players they need etc

Robinson has missed the finals only once since coaching them but in saying that with the roster he has had since coaching the Roosters, he should be doing way better than what he has been and maybe the roosters have stuck with him for too long and need a change of coach as well.

He was lucky to scrape into the finals last year.
