Round 1: Other Matches

I assume everyone on here thinks their own take is the balanced one, and everybody elseā€™s is on a scale from not quite, to crazy person.

I think the positivity police are completely fair in their 'it's early' assessments... but only under the presumption that every single time the season ends we must all wipe it from our memory. The 'story' can never last longer than one season for them. Once the season ends, the book closes, and it doesn't mean anything whatsoever going forward.

This makes no sense to me. Because we've been going at this for 6 years now. It's one giant story that's been ongoing ever since Madge left.

Coming short year after year doesn't seem to matter to the positivity police, because they are all 6 different stories, like parallel universes that don't even matter. Any lessons learned are irrelevant, any pattern recognition redundant.

As I've posted elsewhere, this isn't round 1. It's round 53 for JD and he is failing.

In the words of Tom Jonesā€¦ā€¦ā€Itā€™s Not Unusualā€

When people give opinions on a game or players performance and then get accused of having an agenda against the club or player, it's really hard to take their opinions seriously.

Those same people usually bat their chest acting like they're better fans as well which makes them look even more unhinged.

I mean yeah there is some exceptions with a poster on this forum having an obvious hate for a player, Nifty with Walker, Darque with Sam Burgess, Jummer with John Sutton who only ever criticize but majority on here aren't like that.

Then there is people on here who can't handle being wrong and will just stick to their guns no matter what, I mean is your ego that bad? Who gives a shit if you get something wrong, own up to it and move on like an adult.

Here is the facts on the team wether you like them or not.

Since JD has taken over as coach, we have regressed as a team and club. Key players are getting older and also regressing. There is no valid excuse how this squad missed the top 8 last season and it's not good enough and people have the right not to be happy with it.

Watching teams like penriff, roosters, broncos, storm, we are miles behind these clubs right now. They were able to defend strongly and that is what wins comps.

I don't have high hopes but I do hope JD can turn it around, if he can't then he should he sacked this season, it's as simple as that.

Seeā€¦you canā€™t even start a post without a dig at posters who disagree with you.

And unless there are carryover points from the previous season, thatā€™s exactly what and should happen. You review the season, take the lessons and wipe the slate clean.

If you read some of my comments on game 1 (both prior, during and after), that performance wasnā€™t good enough. JD should not have picked Kennar, while leaving out Shaq and Duncan. And I believe he paid the price for those mistakes.

But Iā€™m not going to write off the season, based on 1 performance. Get Wighton onto the field and find a long term replacement for Graham, and letā€™s see how our season goes.

I'm one who wipes the slate clean at the end of the season. I just enjoy watching my team play and don't worry too much if we lose, because I have plenty more things in life that are more important to worry about. Maybe when I was younger, I'd stress over the team, but having gone through our bad times I only see positives with this team now. I also don't see how after one game in the US our team is being persecuted by its own fans. I prefer to leave the persecution to Roosters supporters. I don't expect this team to win every game with the injuries to our backline we currently have, but I absolutely go into every game backing them, and the coach for that matter.

Starting a the season a week earlier is worse than a bye weeekend for everyoneā€™s mental healthā€¦ā€¦šŸ¤£

If someone thinks they are being referred to as the positivity police, then they are making that inference themselves and are experiencing a crisis of ego/insecurity.

I simply talk in generalisations (as is required when talking about larger scale concepts). If you feel called out, even if not mentioned by name, that's on you

Also, to Prowsey, "why cant you start a post without digging at others". I don't even know how to respond to that considering you do that quite often.

I post for the betterment of the club I love in the deluded hope that maybe someone who matters might have a eureka moment and fix things that will make our club more successful.

No personal agenda. No personal attacks. Just a purely ruthless winning mentality. That's all I want for this club

You are 100% correct.

I would also add that there is the agenda brigade on here.
Yes with this we agree. You, Darque and a few others act like a paid PR arm of the club, who troll Rabbitohs forums to try too deflect and negativity posted against club, player or coach.
People should be able to argue logically about the performance - without being derogatory to other posters or the players.
Oh the hypocrisy

Yours are all positively negative Nanciā€™s jumping on and off bandwagons and pushing and tipping your own barrows about players and coaches and referees in particular and in general. Go intercourse with the Roosters or yourselves and see if your not wrong or right at the end of Round 26 or the Grand Final or after we play and lose or win against Melbourne in BC Melbourne unless ithey make us play it in some god forsaken outpost because they never think of the fans who live on the central Coast of South western Sydney already. BTW this is the post of the year as it covers every possible angle that will be debated in any post regardless of results - thank you good night and see you in the offseason

Not sure about covering every angle but it certainly is confusing where is the ā€œcentral coast of south western Sydney ā€œ That alone is worthy of a debate šŸ˜‚

(Is this a record rd 1 and quit the forumā€¦šŸ˜
