2025 Rumours

Don't forget an injury riddled Tatola for 4yrs. And the reward is to make Ellison, who wouldn't know the difference between a brown and red belly black snake, head of R & R. I guess to him that means Rest and Recreation

Is it some sort of requirement to be able to differentiate betwee a Brown Snake and a Red Bellied Black to qualify as an expert in rugby league recruitment? I don't get the connection.

One of the best recruitment decisions Mr Bennnett ever made was pisssing Sua'ali'i off, over 4 seasons he averaged 7.5 tries a year. Absolutely underwhelming for a guy the media told us was the second coming of Jesus.

He was underwhelming in the NRL and will be the same in Union. Alhough Union is such an awful game it may even make him look reasonable.

Never understood the hype about him

I mean, May is a quality middle, mid 20’s, Wayne has said he wants a forward, just been sacked by our arch rivals, certainly a better player than Hunt or Knight.

Sure it didn’t work at the Roosters…

Seriously? He was more useless than tits on a bull…..

(Edit: to be fair to him though….its hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys…)
Shannon Heggarty can't have been too bad. Has played for Aus and Qld. Also played over 150 first grade games. He didn't really set the world on fire when he played for us though. Didn't he play the role of Andrew Veniamin in Tough Nutts?

Just my opinion but Munro still has a lot of risk about him, no doubt re his talent, the question marks surround his collar bone, as for Johnstone i think its very optimistic to think he will be the same player given his injury and age, as i said just my thoughts, team first always.

May is a good quality player but sounds a bit like "full-time farmer, part-time footballer" to me. I am 50/50 on it but maybe the playing group with the likes of Jack, Cody, Murray, CG and of course Wayne could be a good change. If May produced his best for us then we would win a lot more of the middle.

I am all in on Munro. By round 1 it would have been about 10 months since he injured his collarbone the 2nd time. I think he will be good to go and worth any risk. You could be right with AJ but he is always going to be a safe option on the Left wing. I am hopeing that, while he may return a little slower, he may be more bulked up. Either way outside Cody, Latrell, Jack and Shuster/Arrow, 2025 should be good to him.

Makes no difference to me. I was moving some pots in my yard last summer and nearly put my hand on a juvenile. The colour made no difference to the distance I wanted to put between the critter and myself. You thought Munro could move fast! 🤣
