I was waiting for the Broncos to put 3 or 4 quick trys on us after we got an early lead, yes just like the 90s and like a couple of other decades too. They were missing a couple of their spine but all up we did solidly out play them. The Broncos were under pressure from both our attack and defence for nearly the full 80 mins. Great game for us to rewatch.Im not sure what it looked like on the telly, but at the game I felt we never ever looked like losing or out of control.
And as a super anxious 90s souths fan, I rarely say that.
Great performance
Cook is the worst player to have the ball when attacking the opposition's line 10-15 metres out, he never learns.Seriously we should have scored a few more tries, the Broncs were shot and we had them on their line often,Souths failed to put them away.
Cook doesn’t have the smarts to set up his supports yes I know he is a good player and puts in big time.
I would have like to have seen Pete get a shot at their flawed defence instead of running around going nowhere!
I'm not disagreeing with you, but if we had that extra option of a target like Coates, Mulitalo or Tupou to name a few the last plays 20m out would look very different.Seriously we should have scored a few more tries, the Broncs were shot and we had them on their line often,Souths failed to put them away.

He already had that after the Titans win last week.So does Ben Hornby have more wins as coach this year than JD?, not great for the reference of JD as a coach.
I think what this shows is how little JD listened to his assistant coaches. Not so much in defence as he was the issue there, but the things that have changed in our attack. Not if nothing changed afterwards.
But I've seen enough minor improvements in our game plans, defensive structures and effort areas post-JD to solidify that opinion.
Has been the biggest turning point for us I reckon- we are now able to kick our selves out of trouble.![]()
The change that has Latrell set for Blues recall
A decision to give Latrell Mitchell a greater share of the Rabbitohs kicking game may have helped convince NSW coach Michael Maguire to recall the star back.www.nrl.com
To be fair, not many actual halves in the game have the size of boot Latrell hasThe kicking impact has been huge. Both Trell and Wighton taking on responsibility there has turned periods of games with single strikes.
It makes it even clearer how far off the mark Ilias was in that general play kicking regard.
