Interesting twist. While it's frustrating for us and it kind of sucks, you can somewhat understand why the NRL would block it. It opens up a can of worms otherwise. We just have to hope he doesn't actually get picked.

I know what you’re saying in your post, but did Keary actually ever play for NSW?

My albeit faulty recollection is that he did his knee in the lead up to Origin and never got back in the frame again (want to say ‘21 but will be wrong on the date).
