Dolphins trying to keep JMK long term
I kind of hope he stays there.
I don’t want to pull apart the Dolphins when we have a perfectly good 9 here already for next season. Just get him playing good and up to his contract value. Ditto the other 20-odd guys we have contracted next season.
I’ll add, I reckon the Cook getting tapped on the shoulder and the JMK stuff is absolute nonsense made up by internet ponderers and NRL360 smut journos who need something to say 3 nights a week.

Agreed, media speculation. There is more chance HTF arriving at Heffron than JMK
Easily the next priority signing after Wayne.

I wanted JD to succeed as much as I want to draw my next breath. However for whatever reason and there are probably multiple of them, he could not.
I used to never miss NRL shows. I have watched them all but over the last few years, no more channel 9, no more Matty Johns, no more ABC radio on all weekend, a quick listen to NRL 180 as I wash up is just about it.
Watching my beloved club go from the penthouse to the outhouse these last 12 months has been soooooo demoralizing for all of us.
I have zero doubt WB will get the best out of our entire squad in season 2025.
Meanwhile lets get a win tomorrow night and give the Rabbitoh members and fans all over the world something to be HAPPY about!

Footy season is a big thing for fans and having a team that isn’t competitive saps all the joy out it. There’s none of that ‘we played well on the weekend, can’t wait to hear what the pundits have to say about our performance’.
This feels like that 4 weeks when you aren’t in the finals.
The rest of the comp is going hammer and tongs and you are just trying to shut out the chatter because you aren’t part of it.
Has certainly free’d up some time in my winter.

I think the recent drive that netted Gray, Le Blanc, Mellars, etc shows that we’re back in the ‘outside our junior base’ recruitment space.
We certainly need to become a junior recruitment club, as we aren’t going to get it done with local talent (which is only going down).
It’s a recruitment ‘panel’, why not have a guy like O’Sullivan as a voice?
Bennet, O’Sullivan, Ello, Solly. Seems a reasonable brain strust. Plenty of business acumen, club knowledge, eye for talent, and special sauce in that bunch.
