Kicking game

After watching the St Helens game, Dodd is able to get quite a bit of height which obviously gives time to the chasers and keep them down field. Tonight, Cody's kicks were pretty acurate, but were all quite flat so that means it gives more time for the opposition to get a wind up. So not only does he not kick too far which gives up metres, but also means they can run further.

Wighton gets a lot of height, and Latrell does as well. Would it be better them to kick when we are in our half and Cody at the other end of the field with his attacking kicks?

I thought Cody’s kicking for most part was quite good last night. What’s lacking with many of them is a poor kick chase.

We saw that when Dylan Edwards looked like he was going to be caught in goal only to make it back to the 30.

Then we saw when they scored that embarrassing try where the kick chase was so poor that by the time it went dead they couldn’t be bothered to turn around and get back.
