Injury & Judiciary Reports

Parra seems to be in a similar situation to us. From memory, aren't we getting their high performance guy/team for 2025?
Nah, Parra can’t blame injury. If you look at their best 17 who have missed 7 games or more, that list is only:

Hopgood
Moses
Sivo.

Every other top 17 guy has missed 0-4 or so games (granted they didn’t have an obvious first choice winger and centre to start the year prior to Tailaga icing that other centre spot over Harper). Pretty good actually if you want to assign credit to Elkin.

If you apply that same metric to Souths, guys that you would have said were top 17 to start the year who have missed 7+ games:

Mitchell
Graham
Munro
Ilias
Tatola
Arrow
Murray
Host

We’re in our own league. :)

Murray and Mitchell have some Origin and suspension stuff there too TBF.

It’s simplistic, but a good comparison for Souths and Parra’s injury run this year - Souths 1-7 (Mitchell, Johnston, Graham, Wighton, Munro, Walker, Ilias - ~66 games missed) have combined for more missed games than all of Parra’s 1-17 (again, allowing for the fact that the math around their second centre and winger is a bit screwy) - ~59.

I know Ilias technically got dropped for a couple of games, not injured, but that is the job of performance staff too, no? :)

By my unofficial count, we’ve had roughly double the games missed by our top 17. Parra average about 3 missing per game, we average about 6 per game. And that’s just top 17, not guys like Tass, Shaq, etc.

Munro could be back for the tigers
Would love to see him play again this year ... firsts, or more likely cup. Really hope he gets through any games he might play without further injury ...dont care if he doesn't score a try or make a break!

Hope it was pay back for the shot McInnes did on Keppie that went unpunished by the ref in the 1st half.
as always, how the hell was that high shot from McInnes not penalised, nor charged, but KK's was.
Shouldn't be shocked, but the inconsistency is astounding
