They have an actual home field too. It sucks, but it’s theirs and a genuinely intimidating (mostly through being crappy) place for opposition teams to visit.

I just think they could've given the last game of Magic Round in particular a bit of a tickle.

3rd game is good. Get it done before the field is trashed.

So we have home games for Magic around, Perth and Gosford. If we have 2 home games at Allianz that just leaves 7 at Accor and the reciprocal rights game v Dogs. That will leave lots of ticketed members pissed off

NRL Magic Round 2025 schedule revealed

Magic Round has been a highlight of the NRL calendar since 2019 and there's a host of superb clashes at Suncorp Stadium in Round 9, 2025 when the magic show arrives in Brisbane again.

Happy with the Saturday arvo slot. That's somewhat ideal for Magic Round. Also happy to be playing the Knights. Should be a good contest, but it's a winnable game.

I'm going to be there this coming year, can't wait!!

Nobody missing Origin 1 due to bye. Back up 4 days later against Warriors at home (Origin in QLD).

Players missing against Bulldogs for Origin 2. Back up 3 days later against Storm at home (Origin in Perth).

Yes top 4 twice as usual. It looks like the NRL would make them away games twice if they could! At least next season we will have the team and coach to contend with it.

2024 Souths' season started with 3 away games

... and now we'll start 2025, again, away from home.

I seriously doubt, after a car race, that Accor will be ready for football just 7-8 days later, either.

Every year there's something on at Accor in March that takes precedence over the footy. Adele, Race of Champions, whatever. We seem to miss out on the early season crowd buzz (save for Good Friday), and play the bulk of our footy there in and around the Origin period when no-one cares.

That Accor deal is a bloody noose around our necks.
