Corey Allan anybody? Trust Wayne's man management instilling self-belief in under-rated self-doubting players. Even Blake Taafe played in the 2021 Grand Final going within a whisker of being a premiership winner. Wayne has unfinished business and he has a resume of raising average players to another level. We have a squad of experienced and up and comers. I am optimistic but realistic about how far Wayne can go with what we currently have. Who knows who will be the X-factor hiding here already or in the 2 open spots we need to fill.

I am hoping mate just to make the 8; position doesn't matter but we seriously under-achieved this year and with the return of players like Tatola, Arrow, Campbell , Tass. Murray and Johnston overcoming their injuries combined with Wayne's undoubted expertise at extracting the best of his players there will be no excuses. I am optimistic despite all the setbacks of this year and the fact that we will have the hunger in the squad we will hit the ground running. Shades of 2014 potentially with some players emerging from the ranks. Yes realistically we have question marks on the spine with 7 and 9 unknown. But who better than Wayne to be at the helm. If it was still Jason with all due respect or Ben then yes the 8 may have been beyond us. At this stage being still in the shadow of a season to forget there is only upside and ultimately as always it is up to the playing squad having to buy in and believe that they can achieve what is required to capture 22 if not this year then lay solid foundations for 2026. Wayne has not come back for anything less. Glory, glory

I actually didn’t realise Meyers was 187cm and 94kg.

He’s a bit like Nick Meaney though, where the theoretical size doesn’t really play the way you’d think.

I think Meaney is the best Meyers comp in a current NRL player. But I think that’s wishful thinking to assume he’ll be as successful.

There are plenty of young Nick Meaney’s floating around Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup.

Why he’s made a first grade career and they haven’t is some special sauce stuff I can’t quite quantify.

You could just as easy liken him to Reece Simmonds.

Yes I saw others on social media saying Wayne thinks Myers has potential to be like a Jack Bostock type winger for us.

I thought Myers went ok on wing at back end of last year at centre though his defence was woeful.

Spot on there re centre D.
If he is going to make a name for himself it must start on the wing.
Speed and strength dont seem to be a problem.
Maybe if he secures a wing spot, he can gradually transition to centre.

Yeah that’s a pretty good comparison. Although Meyers does look faster in a straight line

Hard work and mental fortitude. Some people just don’t have the resilience or desire to keep pushing on until they make it.

Myers is also a goal kicker. That’s a handy back up option if Latrell is out.
