Match Discussion Trial: Rabbitohs v Sea Eagles

For me, this game gives 6, 7 and 9 a real chance to get used to running the team while most of the big names and personalities out
It is a cliche but they have to:
- play whats in front of them
- so they need to be able to read the game and decide quickly what to do
- temptation will be there to overplay their roles ... only a trial, but important for these young blokes to keep cool heads too
A win would really give them a big lift

Not downplaying the other players ... I can't wait to see them in action as well
The wait is all but over
Also, good news to see Fletcher and Havili fit to play...!
100% agree. And I can just about guarantee you that Wayne's message for all of them will be to just keep it so simple. This is the building block for their Season.

I'm really excited to see Dodd go of course, but I can't wait to see if Pete has developed after a Pre-Season under Wayne.

Team, what do we know about Penitani besides the fact he’s Tiana and Natasha’s brother/cousin?

I'm looking forward to watching the 6, 7, and 9 also. I think Humphreys will switch to the 9 at some stage through the game when PM goes off for a break so we could compare them a bit. Might get an idea on Wayne's plan for Dodd going forward in this game, mainly to see if he runs the ball more than he did at St Helens last season. He should do the lions share of the positional kicking anyway. The player I am most keen to watch is Talanoa Penitani on the Right wing. The Right edge hasn't been great for us for a while, (since 2014, Tuqiri), so Penitani as back up would be good. Mostly I really just want some football.

One of my sharks fan mates doesn't rate him to high and said he fell down the pecking order at the sharks and wasn't able to make their flegg team

All I've heard about him

What do people know of Declan Casey? I've read at least something about most of the others.

Hard to find much info on Talanoa Penitani other than he is from the Sharks system and is a Winger. Apparently he went to Endeavour Sports High School. I think that is the big school across Taren Point Road from Carringbah Homeware Centre in the Shire, (for New Zealanders, not that Shire).

Sharks have never been great at identifying their best juniors.
