Is it just me or has this place gone from a Forum and morphed into nothing more than a glorified social media joint, I used love the discussions and debates that went on here but sadly I rarely log in anymore and a few other posters from the past are noticeable in their absence. I think the lack of substance to discuss/ debate due to the long pre-season has made it feel this way @Bob Belcher .

As we move through the trials and into the season proper things should resume normal transmission?

Yep, all forums have this happen. It is now the end of the pre-season and after tomorrows game the debate will heat up. Right now there really is nothing new to discuss.

If I'm honest this place is getting more insufferable by the day. Hoping it's just the end of a long off-season. If not, I'll still be an observer but I can't see myself contributing much this year.

Mate the fact that we had to create a stand alone social media thread says it all yet we still get bombarded outside of that, just look at dates joined and post counts, if I wanted to hear what Goodtime Charlie had to say on the Warren I would join the Warren, the sad truth is that the place has lost some valuable posters, just read Yobbos post above.

The pride lost a lot of good posters when it switched from the original forum to this one.

Many didn't bother to re-register again.

The warren bans or silent bans people, they end up over here as a result.

Last season was probably the worst season most of us have experienced in our life time, with the players we had and what happened in previous years, to just avoid the wooden spoon, cop beatings after beatings took it toll on a lot of people, just watching Souths games became a challenge.

Coming back from an off-season after that, with no big gun recruitments other than Wayne Bennett, no one really knows how we will go this season, we all just hoping for some Wayne Bennett magic.

Well I am anyways.

I agree with some of what @Bob Belcher is saying and share @yobbo84 frustrations. I’ve expressed some of my frustrations with the content on the forum privately to the Mods.

I particularly agree with the comment on re-posting comment from the Warren here.

I mean one poster re-posts comments from a poster on the Warren who also posts here.

If I wanted to read content from the Warren I’d join the site.

With regards to the main point.

Unfortunately the only thing that seems to get traction here is shit takes on our club and then the interminable back and forth between various camps of “experts”.

I’m hoping the site settles down when the season starts, but I’m not holding my breath.
