Mate any idea how we apply our $20 discount to the shop? Is it first 3 numbers of last name in capitals and then our member number?
 
How would people feel if the NRL enforce us to update our away jersey given the areas that differ are now the trims and logos only?

I was there day dot when it went to panels and I always loved the reasoning of it and how it was executed.

I also loved that we basically said - no we aren’t doing a different design. We are SSFC and we are the Cardinal & Myrtle hoops.

It was so close to when Privatisation happened - to remove the oval in the logo and to go to panel design was one of the most controversial moves PHAC and RC made early on - but the reasoning of getting out of the hoops only design; the removal of the oval; the reason behind the white and black rabbits etc. it all made so much sense and was a great way to re imagine the brand and internally change perception from 1990-2006 Souths.

I hate that the first year back to hoops since 2006 also had the smell of that pre panel mediocrity.

Anyway - I wouldn’t be surprised if the NRL do request an alternate design now there’s no strong white/alt in the design.

I think I’d like to see what they could come up with. Although, the whole merch tone feels back to 2006 a bit too.

They are completely different. Home: red and green. Away: green and red.

I’d be open to alternating the home with the black and white highlights each year, with a differing away each season.

We’ve got enough designs over our history to make this effective, even if you went with a yearly cycle with alternating the black and white rabbits on both jerseys.

I don’t think we have to, we have a home & away jumper but presumably we’ll also release an alternative jersey that comes into play if colours clash like they seem to do when we play certain teams

They only give a shit when we play Canberra in Canberra and we usually wear some one-off abomination for that
