Season 2024 Fan Review

Thanks to members helping me out with this...I feel truly empowered.
I get frustrated hearing about team reviews... often we only hear the 'highly sanitized findings' with the usual cliched summary and some assistant coaches getting burned as a byproduct.
So I felt it would be interesting to get at least a quantitive evaluation from fellow supporters.
If participants are happy, I would like to set some 'voting' guidelines that will allow you to express your vies in a manner that allows cumulative results to be summarised in a meaningful way while still allowing free form verbatim comments.
So before continuing, I would like to set a time of ... say 1 week to consider inputs about the guidelines from others.
Then, after reviewing... if there is sufficient interest in proceeding, I will move onto the next step.
Ultimately... if this progresses, I am happy to collate and report the final results of what we the fans think.

Hello Prowsey...thanks 4 the question.
I did mean quantitive to be objective so that I could tally results and publish some measurable consensus of what we collectively think.
Having said that, things are never black and white ... so I know that people would undoubtedly add comments etc ... hence my mention of ad hoc verbatim.
That is fine...but i would of course only tally actual votes.

My initial proposal was to allow voting categories like the following..
1. Coach JD
2. The draw
3. Player fitness
4. Player commitment
5. Roster
6. Rehab and conditioning team
7. Skill levels?
8. Team selections?
9. Other?
TBD
Once the groups are finalised... after reviewing inputs...
Thought we then allow each person to vote by entering up to say 5 groups and the weighting they give to each of their selected groups.
So if you think 80% is due to injuries and 20% to coach... then that is all that is needed. But you can enter up to say 5?
After people have voted...I would tally and report...pretty easy stuff really.
I am just making this up as i go so if there is interest but people want it done differently...i am open to that too.

I like the sound of this, good idea. I guess, as a forum, I'd be pretty interesting to see what the end results of this were.

Thanks Callmack...I guess that is the first vote on this thread.

So how about we allow voting from next Saturday...you can vote before then if you wish ... dont think goalposts PTP will shift too much.

I also really liked the weekly player voting 1-2-3 ...
Only thing it fell short with was some summary e.g. weekly reporting of the most popular 123..
Voting does in many respects remove much of the to and fro angst in posts to arrive at a group think!

Comments on the 3-2-1 votes are generally frowned upon due to the fights it kick start

Ok, I didnt see one ... or at least an active one. If there is I am happy to defer to that thread. Anyway, I will monitor for a week and as I have stayed previously, if there is sufficient interest then I will continue.
IN FACT, I will even quantitatively evaluate this as follows:

I'd add to your list:

"Commercial / Front office"

It's an important part of the overall operation of the club.
