2025 Rumours

I've been told today by as good a source as you can get, that Galvin to Parra is a done deal.
I thought Manly but Parra sounds like a logical landing spot for Galvin. I suppose now it is a matter of when? After the events of the past week I can't see him staying to finish his contract.

Galvin to Parra was always on the cards as he was a local junior who never wanted to leave.

Dylan Brown has opened the door for him to return and i think he will take it.

It will be huge money for a 19 year old and i am glad we arent doing it.

I think he's a magpies junior and grew up around campbelltown area but was an eels fan as a kid and tried out playing for the eels but they knocked him back saying he wasn't good enough so he went back to the magpies

Ah yes i think you are correct.

Geez costly mistake by Eels juniors talent scout that could now cost them millions to get him back.

You would imagine if he was a fan and wanted to play for them he would have taken unders to stay in their system etc.

It makes a bit of a mockery of the claim that Benji can't help his career, as a rookie coach (although I believe that came from his parents, not from him), if he ends up at Parra with a coach that's even more of a rookie than Benji AND was not a half in his playing career.

If the reason he is not resigning with Tigpies is due to an inexperienced coach who will not be able to help him reach his potential, then Parramatta should be out of the equation given Ryles has less experience as a coach.

I find it funny that people have a go at Luai for not being happy with someone leaving the club in the circumstances Galvin is allegedly leaving.

Luai didn’t shit all over the Panthers. He went to market on Nov 1, like he’s entitled to, and signed a deal with another club, when the Panthers were unable to match it.

He didn’t say that the coach was a loser, indeed the coach had a go at Luai.

He went about his business and won a 4th premiership in a row.

Contrast to the behaviour of a 19yr old, who hasn’t actually proven anything. He hasn’t played finals, or SOO and he’s still a very unfinished product.

He may be the highest paid player in the NRL, as Gould claims, but I firmly believe that the manner his intention to leave has been handled by his camp is appalling and reflects poorly on his character.
I must be missing something.

Where did Galvin call Marshall a loser? Where did he shit all over the Tigers?

To my knowledge, He had a contract extension on the table from the Tigers and decided not to consider it. His mind made up to move on.

Didn't directly call him a loser or anything like that but basically said he doesn't rate Benji as a coach and thinks his development will stall or go backwards if he stays.

Benji himself had a hand with Robbie in getting a few coaches sacked , short memories

What a shit take.

Benji is arguably one of the greatest five-eights of the modern era.

A world cup winner, a premiership winner and future hall of famer.

Man this forum at times.
