Match Discussion Round 7: Rabbitohs v Bulldogs

I really like this side.

Once Keppie is ruled out you’d assume Moale starts and Le Blanc joins the bench.

Strong team to cope with the monster crowd.

The fast track should make for an interesting watch. Hopefully our middle holds defensively.
Ataata is a big lump of a lad

I’d like to see the club upping his game time in Reggie’s to get him ready in case he’s needed at the back end of the season

He looks very likely

How about you talk about the team selection instead of the refs every week?

Love ya mate, but I'm kind of over it lol.
Atkins is a joke he’s shown it many times it’ll likely happen again this Friday our win percentage under him is very bad too.

You do know the club officially complained about him a couple of years ago?

I’ll talk about team selection when I get home from work.

Edit also haven’t spoken on refs every week thought Gerry Sutton reffed our game where we lost to Sharks well.

Hes been droppe to the bench in Reggies this week - Toevai has been impressive and playing huge minutes this year for a middle. Mihinui the new recruit also had a good first outing last week and is starting this week too.

Yeah the other two props have been playing better than him imo

Not entirely best pleased with that line-up but also, do not think it will be the one that runs out (not talking about Keppie).

Gray
Graham
Mitchell
Wighton
Tass
Walker
Dodd

Makes me happier -

Mitchell
Graham
Wighton
Aiken
Tass
Walker
Dodd

Gray 14th man

Also makes me happier as well.

I guess we will see on Friday.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs’ squad for Good Friday’s clash with the Bulldogs is:

1- Jye Gray
2- Campbell Graham
3- Euan Aitken
4- Jack Wighton
5- Isaiah Tass
6- Latrell Mitchell
7- Cody Walker (c)
8- Sean Keppie
9- Peter Mamouzelos
10- Junior Tatola
11- Keaon Koloamatangi
12- Jai Arrow
13- Lachlan Hubner

Interchange:
14- Lewis Dodd
15- Siliva Havili
16- Tallis Duncan
17- Davvy Moale
18- Liam Le Blanc
19- Salesi Ataata
20- Thomas Fletcher
21- Declan Casey
22- Josh Schuster

Coach – Wayne Bennett
That's a good side. I hope that Cody is fit to play 6 and Dodd should play 7. Latrell should move to left centre inside Tass and Jack to right centre inside CG. That's a good backline. Aitken then is back to 2nd row with Keaon. Arrow to start Prop as Keppie will probably be suspended. Tatola the other starting Prop. With an 80 min performance, that's a winning team.

Yeah, I think Attata is a ways off.

Mihinui I like the look of.

Another notable omission from training today was Tatola. He’s been named so they are obviously managing his workload

Still think Cody is only a 50/50, it’s pointless rushing him back with a suspect hammie. We’ve seen how this has played out before

The Dogs still aren’t a great side on paper. They have some class in Chricton a few good forwards and decent wingers

Spine is still a work in progress. Sexton is solid, Burton a better centre than 5/8, Mahoney is just a grub and Tracey is solid without being spectacular

I think we need to change it up this week. We won’t beat them in an arm wrestle. Need to attack from further out and use attacking kicks when attacking the line
I agree about changing it up. The Bulldogs are the best defensive side in the comp. This is why I still believe we need Trell at fullback for this one. We're a far better attacking side with him there than anywhere else.

In saying that, the thought of him and Cody linking up in the halves is pretty exciting.

Either way, we need to find a way through their staunch defence regularly.

Round 7 media. All really good interviews, they all know the task at hand and how big of an occasion it's going to be. Particularly loved what Pete said about being better than last week and proving some people wrong.

Keppie cleared to play!!!!!!!! I cannot believe it!!
Was a bullshit charge JD on the panel too so he helps decide charges after every game.

Brilliant news re Keppie. Just finished work will give my thoughts on the side a bit later
