2025 Pre-Season

Keaon plays for Tonga.

He lost his NSW jumper while Cam was one of the best on field for NSW.

Whether Cam has a bad game or not, you know for a fact that he puts 100% in every game.

You can't say the same for Keons performances week in week out.

He was lazy in defence and won't run on to the ball at pace and became a liability playing in his favored position.

Playing a couple of games where he padded stats to make 200 metres for a few games doesn't make him a better player because I'm assuming that is what you must be basing it on.

Murray didn’t have the best of seasons particularly with respect to giving away penalties. Still better than KK.
Yes, I thought Murray being under the pressure of leading a struggling team pushed himself too hard and came up with some errors, handling and discipline, that he normally would not make. Even so he still played SOO and for Aust.

Glad to be here! Newer American fan as saw the boys in Vegas last year! Love the name, colors, everything. Teacher is my job.

Anyway, I think preseason has gone all right so far and we can improve on our place last season. Been too long for a championship that is for sure. From all things I have read, most writers and analysts in general are either picking Penrith to win again and/or Melbourne to take it.

I think we can surprise everyone as long as we start out strong.

Welcome to the forum and get ready for an exciting year, this team has a lot to make up for over the last two years, so strap in for the ride.

Yes the last 18 months of competition has been a major disappointment for us. Fortunately most of that has been remedied with the signing of our new coach. I am looking forward to a really strong season especially if we can minimise the injuries.

Spare a thought for the pirates who once captured Julius Ceaser and demanded a ransom for him....
They cried aaaaarrrgghhhh for a totally different reason!
That could be considered the ultimate of, "poking the bear".

That could be considered the ultimate of, "poking the bear".
He had gotten on well with his captors and even demanded that they ask a higher ransom for him then they suggested.
He did warn them that one day he would return and execute all of them but they laughed it off thinking he was joking....anyway, the rest of the story is somewhat dark so I will stop there.

Geez Joel Caine talks garbage.

Dodd shouldn’t be 7 Cody and Wighton should be halves.

Then Wighton should be FB etc.

Fletch has us in his 8, Joel not sure but says Roosters will be higher on the ladder than us again
Maybe he knows something he doesn't know 🤷 🤔

HOW BENNETT BECAME NRL’S LATEST WEIGHT LOSS GURU

Maybe it’s time for Wayne Bennett to go down the track of former Newcastle Knights premiership winner Adam “Mad Dog” MacDougall and develop his own weight loss program.

Because whatever the old supercoach is whispering to the Rabbitohs is certainly helping his players shed some kilos.

You don’t have to look hard to see how Latrell Mitchell’s body shape has been transformed this summer, while the reckon Cody Walker is also ready to rip.

But another player who has flown under the radar but has also dropped a stack of weight is gun backrower Keaon Koloamatangi.

Get this, Koloamatangi finished his final game last season tipping the scales at a whopping 117kg.

Yet when he returned for preseason training, he was down 11kg to 106kg.

At his best Koloamatangi is up with the most damaging backrowers in the game.

It just goes to show Latrell wasn’t the only Rabbitoh who lost his way last year.

BOOM BUNNY’S STUNNING SHOUT OUT TO SUPERCOACH

Here’s a name for Rabbitohs fans to put in the black book — Matthew Humphries.

The former Terrigal Junior was an absolute standout in the Rabbitohs’ thumping 58-12 first round SG Ball win over defending premiers St George.

Humphries scored two tries and kicked eight goals to finish with an individual haul of 24 points.

Even better, he then backed it up backed it up under Bennett’s watchful eyes by winning an endurance test at training on Tuesday, where the 18-year-old left the entire NRL squad in his wake.

Humphries spent the summer training with the top squad and is still doing two days a week with the NRL team while playing SG Ball.

Don’t be surprised if this kid is pushing for his debut later in the season.

From Callaway off the Warren

“they did an opposed session today. Not full force but pretty competitive.
Looked like they lined up as firsts v Reg
Mamo hooker
Dodd half
Bud 5/8
KK and Fletch on edge
Talanoa and Myers on the wing - that will change when Campbell and Tyrone are back
We’ve got a lot of middles riding bikes but Davvy, Tallis, Liam and Cam were out there
Sutton and Hayne were reffing and afterwards seemed to go over play the ball in detail with Wayne and a few of the players”

Glad to hear it was another solid session today. Mamo has definitely won that hooker spot, and it's so good to see Fletch up there in the top side. Of course, that's because of injuries, but it's still a step.

Going over the play-the-ball is smart, there'll hopefully be plenty of that in the coming weeks, we don't wanna be caught out.

Any other details from today's session?

Holy shit!!!

We knew he'd lost a lot of weight but 11kgs is absolutely nuts! That's one hell of a transformation.
