Re: the interest in Lodge and Wayne being on the hunt for a middle, I think that says that Koloamatangi is going to be an edge again in Wayne’s world. Our Kikau/Olakau’tu.

Middle rotation of Lodge, Arrow, Tatola, Moale.
I think Keaon is better in middle if he stays edge he needs a kick up the arse!

I tend to think that the question mark around Tatola and the departure of Tom are the biggest factors prompting the interest in Lodge. We appear well covered for back row and lightweight middle forward options after adding Aitken and Hubner. I reckon Koloamatangi is destined for the front row.

If we’re going to be playing KK on an edge and expecting him to be our version of those dominant X factor second rowers then he needs to step up or be shipped off ASAP.

I find him infuriating to watch and I no longer care about his potential or ‘on’ moments. He needs to do a lot more than he’s done for some time or he’s a shuffling skipping waste of (cap) space.

Think we forget in 23 he made SOO as a 2nd rower!
2nd half of 23 and most of 24 pretty well ALL of our players we below par so I really dont think it's fair to single him out.
He played well again for 5 games that we won after JD left ... as did the other players.
Then when we slipped back, for remainder of season, his performance dropped along with most of the others.
Again, not fair to single him out.
I think he can do a great job as a backrower or a middle!

I agree, people saw him making over 200m when playing at lock or in the middle and got memorized from it.

But there wasn't much quality in those runs.

Don't want a Paul Gallen in our side, I know many rated him but he was a stats peddler imo

Hard to disagree.
That little hop he does is absolutely frustrating as all hell.

Let’s hope he’s one of the guys we’re talking about end of 2025 as being one of the players who majorly benefited from WB being back.
Totally.
And there’s no reason he can’t be.
If any coach can do it, it’s Uncle Wayne.

In Wayne We Trust.

Never understood the fuss. He had a big motor but nothing else and was a massive hog. He frustrated the crap out of me when was the NSW SOO captain he took way too many hit ups and got in the way of play all the time.

I thought Ello had a different role now?

And hasn’t Roberts been terminated because of the incident with his brother?

Absolutely agree with this take. I’m keen to see how Keppie goes tbh.

That is Ello’s new role.

He was previously head of football.

Have updated to remove Roberts from the Summer Training list. :) Cheers.

Interesting negotiations ahead with the following players coming off contract at end of 2025 season:
Lovett
Walker
Mellars
Johnston
Moale
Host
Sullivan
Schuster
Havili
Duncan
Fletcher
Munro
Mitchell S.
Burns
LeBlanc
McCarthy
Quite a list.
Some pretty obvious releases but plenty of must keeps in there too.
