2025 News, General Articles and Discussion

I’ll take Cobbo to replace Johnstone
Would be a good pick up however, he has attitude issues and can be very lazy on the field. He has no second effort at times and can give up on plays.

Agree wholeheartedly with your lazy assessment.
We cant just sign someone on the assumption that Wayne will turn him around.
Some of these highly paid (overpaid) players need a real reality check.
Nuff said!

Unlikely we would have the cap space for Selwin Cobbo for 2025, even if the Broncos chipped in. Perhaps there would be space for 2026 but I would be more interested in Ronaldo Mulitalo for one of our wing spots. He is off contract at the end of 2025. Unlike Cobbo there is no question over Mulitalo's commitment.

We can only if they are on a budget deal like Schuster foe example. I agree with you that Cobbo is not worth the risk when he is on top dollar.

Yeah...possibilities there I think.

I don’t think Wayne will go after someone like a Mulitalo given how much Trell Campbell and Wighton are on in our back 3.

Yes we don't have a history of chasing the top wingers when they come on the market. Best is to make sure that we keep Munro as a priority, but if we are short a winger for 2026 then Mulitalo must be tempting.

Other winger will be AJ or Mellars. Wayne won’t spend up there
