Player Lachlan Hubner

It's hard to believe he's only played 7 NRL games.
Yeah.

Reminds me in Dawn of the Dolphins where Wayne is saying he wished every bloke in his team played like Ray Stone.

Him and Humphreys have been sensational buys so far.

Hopefully Aitken and Schuster join that list shortly, and Sullivan adds to his value on the weekend.

Where does he go when Murray comes back?
First thing’s first, I reckon Smith splits his time 70/30 between middle/hooker and Murray spends time throughout the game on the left edge to accommodate.

Duncan spends the rest of the non Murray time on an edge.

So between those 3 and Pete you get left edge, lock, hooker and bench edge sorted.

Hubner is a bench middle sub and injury cover for one of Murray or Smith going down. Likely takes that Havili spot on the bench behind the impact prop.

Aitken is your 14 utility.

Arrow and Tatola are 2 of your props, just need a third big man to round things out.

Le Blanc is first reserve (who in the NRL is still going to play a lot of footy).

Yes it’s a smaller pack, but I like the pedigree, work ethic, versatility and mobility.

I would put Hubner on the bench as the lock/second rower. He can allow Murray to rest or move to an edge when he comes on.

This assumes that Aitken plays to form.

Back-row is the one position that we have great depth in. At this point I think Hubner is ahead of Le Blanc as the back up 13. Tallis is an edge backrower IMO.

We love him. He has this Josh McGuire face about him (who I absolutely hated) and his posture makes us laugh too under fatigue, we call him the hunch!

Arrow is no longer a prop. He’s way too light then doesn’t have the leg speed to be a Cotter type

The club might need to really look at whether Arrow has become surplus to needs considering his salary and what Hubner is offering at less than half the price

I’ll wait to see Arrow back in the middle before going off.
