Player Jye Gray

If Latrell is picked at fullback, I reckon we will still see Wayne move Jye back to fullback at some point in the season on a permanent basis. Mitchell hasn't been a consistent performer for years and I don't see this changing this year despite his apparent attention to fitness this off season. This is an early call to make and I would be happy to be proven wrong.

If this kid stays a rabbit for life he’ll end up with a statue out at Redfern. He is the bravest footballer I’ve ever seen.
If anyone has any doubt about how good he is, go back and watch the last half hour of tonight’s game again. He was immense. In a period where we had no subs, our forwards were out of gas and we were hemmed in to our own half he was taking two hit ups a set. When everyone else didn’t have the juice to get there, he was getting there. Second tackle, running into the teeth of the Roosters forwards, getting pummeled and yet still playing the ball quickly and then backing up for the 4th tackle hit up.
When Pete couldn’t get to dummy half, Jye was there. When Sullivan sliced the chooks open and looked inside for support, Jye was there to score under the posts.
The kid was immense and there’s no way we win tonight without him.
When his career is done in 15 years time, people will talk of him in the same breath as they talk about Preston Campbell and Matty Bowen. Jye Gray is all heart. Long may he be a Rabbitoh.

Hard to argue DKOR, he’s got some motor ...

I lost count of how many times he ran twice in a set, & even though he’s pretty light, his acceleration, leg speed & centre of gravity mean he was still poking through the line, something the big boppers were struggling with

Really gives the other forwards a regular breather too ... I'm sure they appreciate this aspect of his involvement...

If he's moved too far or limited in doing this...would be a pity

Topped the runs and run metres again tonight. The more minutes he gets per game the better for mine.

Benny has a real balancing act/conundrum on his hands when and if we ever get most of our top players back
Albeit a pleasant conundrum for him.

He’s a leading example of the type character Wayne has built this team around.

Gray, Hubner, Mamouzelos, Arrow, Graham, Murray, Duncan, Humphreys, Wighton, even Koloamatangi in his 2025 form, plenty of effort in that lot.
With more minutes, Sullivan put in effort too and 21 tackles
Hubner topped the tackle count and a try assist and good runs ....huge 4 us

It's why he got my 3 points. I agree that he was immense.
