Player Josh Schuster

At this stage Keppie is streets ahead of Moale and Havili.

To suggest otherwise is akin to the Cody/Nifty opinion.

‘Streets ahead’ is a tad over stated.

He’s playing double the minutes and as such playing more footy that the other 2.

Not saying he isn’t going well by his standard to start the year.

His defensive 1%ers are still costing us.

Watch the top down replay of the Dragons first try. The line rushes up to the left of the ruck to shut down the Dragons, Keppie is walking, the Dragons run to his gap, the line compresses to close down the space he’s left, they get the offload away and score out wide.

This image is the lower view and doesn’t highlight it as well, but it’s there.

Stoked he scored the match winner and I don’t doubt his general enthusiasm, he just needs to clean this stuff up.

Agree that in limited minutes Moale has only been solid at best.

Liva has provided good impact off the bench. He offers something different to Keppie so I don’t see the need to compare.

What I do know is, one of Keppie or Moale needs to get real good, real quick (better than the solid to middling effort they’re providing currently), or we’re a quality prop short.

Keppie was solid against a bottom 8 Dragons.

If he has this sort of impact and then some (what we need) against the Sharks and Panthers, then we can start to talk ‘streets ahead’.

Someone has to step up, I have no problems with it being Keppie. But let’s not get carried away at this stage.

I never said or suggested he is beyond improvement.
There are areas of all players abilities they can improve on.

But on what they offer right now, on current form, Keppie is without doubt streets ahead of Moale and Havili.
I’ll take your opinion under consideration.

Hey, why the bias against Keppie????? 😁
ATM I would have a Keppie a little ahead of Moale based on what I've seen so far this year??
Especially after yesterday.

I think you are a bit harsh on Keppie. Just my opinion. That was his best game so far with us. You could run a white glove over PM and Humphreys too and they also played, "against a bottom 8 Dragons". From what I see Wayne has lifted Keppies game a level. Without getting ahead of myself, if Keppie keeps improving and keeps those errors out of his game, he could be the big Prop we need at the back end of the season. In 2024 it was frustrating watching Keppie play but it is encouraging watching him play so far this season.

Keppie will become our new GOAT under Bennett, as Mark Nicholls did..
Just simplify his role

Vote 1 Bruster!

Just off our first 2 games going to be interesting how Schuster fits in when fit.
He's a blind player to me. I corn recall noticing him at manly.

Yoohoooo!!! In for his first game for us, and his first game in a long time this week. Hats off to him, he really has put in the work over the last couple of months. God, I can't wait to see how he goes.
Thanks for posting Callmack it's good news indeed, it was posted on another site that he would be back this week and they were right on the money. :D

Think he needs another couple of cup games to get his match fitness back AND should really help his confidence too ... so I really hope we dont rush him back .... doubt Benny will anyways.

If Schuster is playing well enough for first grade then he could be eased back in off the bench. I wouldn't want to wait to long as he is a real talent.
