Player Josh Schuster

Geez, at $200k it could be the moneyball signing of the century - real moneyball signing that is - not including the Roosters who sign everyone for a McHappy Meal because of the: culture, desire to win a GF, Uncle Nick, Trent the mentor, off field opportunities etc etc.

Acceptable gamble given the situation.

Souths’ EARLY FAVOURITE FOR BUY OF 2025

The South Sydney Rabbitohs signing of Josh Schuster on a minimum wage deal worth $140,000-a-season could prove to be one of the most astute pieces of recruitment over the off season.

Wayne Bennett has shown previously he can get the best out of players who’ve had a flat spot in their careers and Schuster certainly has enough natural talent to kick on as an NRL player.

Where will he play? The Bunnies remain undecided. First things first they want to get Schuster fit and enjoying his football again.

Josh Schuster could be the buy of the 2025 season for Souths.

At his best Schuster could provide enormous x-factor for the Bunnies.

Compared to the $800,000 deal Schuster was on at the Manly Sea Eagles the South Sydney deal shows he’s serious about proving he’s got unfinished business in the NRL.

The 12-month deal is also a smart way of backing his ability to deliver.

I heard he was on $20 a week and a monthly supply of Kellogg's Cornflakes. These parasites are hilarious with their clickbait..🤣

So for the record, it’s ok for us to sign a guy whose most recent contract was $800k for $140k. But when the Roosters do it they’re the devil 😊

I watched his YTKR interview from 2023 seeing as he’s now a Rabbitoh.

He’s an interesting kid.

Vey shy, says (some of) the right things and comes across as fairly polite and well mannered, but also like he most definitely runs his own race.

I don’t get the impression anyone is ever going to get him playing to their tune.

But fit and confident, as a player given freedom to play what he sees (off the bench or perhaps in the halves with the right partner), perhaps there’s a player there.

Strikes me as a looser Latrell.

I find Gus Gould’s comment that ‘the real Josh Schuster story hasn’t been told to date’ very cryptically intriguing.

Not sure why it took you so long to work it out Brend 😘

Perhaps we should get Abdo and Annesley sponsored by this mob...YKTR...YOU know the rules...no one else does apparently
