2025 Injury and Judiciary

Keppie cleared to play!!!!!!!! I cannot believe it!!
Sanity prevails.

Mitigating circumstances, Drinkwater was clearly falling, making the high contact unavoidable.

Force also couldn’t have been too bad. Drinkwater played on didn’t he? I don’t recall seeing him go off for HIA

I have to admit that I’m shocked that the charge was downgraded.

Just from the vision of the tackle, I thought grade 2 was the appropriate charge. And if it was against one of our players, the screams on here would be loud.

And I also feel for @Pplspoet - because hope is the worst feeling, particularly when it’s dashed on the floor of the judiciary and Mr Keppie is free to play 😉

ita more about bennet than our depth
I understand why you would say that.

But when you consider how much of the bottom of the squad we turned over, and how much better those pieces have performed, there’s probably a little column A, column B.

Humphreys and Sullivan have won games for us. Ilias and Hawkins didn’t do that last year, or the year before when they were asked to play sans Cody.

Hubner has moved into a starting role and filled in admirably while our Captain is out.

Aitken is only one week back but covered well in the centres on the weekend.

And although he has only had 2 games so far, with our outside back shortages, Ravalawa has been great.

Pretty big impact IMO from the new recruits.

Yes Wayne has had the biggest impact, but these guys have built out our depth no doubt.

Of the 2 charges, if we were to challenge one I thought it would have been Sullivan's, not Keppies. Glad he got downgraded as we will need him in the middle this week against the dogs. I don't know if I am more amazed that we won on Keppies charge or that we finally contested a charge.

Hubner will be out next Friday with the mandatory 11 day stand down. Wayne said our player who got hit high was having his eye stitched- assume that was Campbell G? - not that that would be an automatic out. Cody said he was fine and seemed grouchy about being yanked - Wayne said it was to make sure he wasn’t injured. Wondering if Tevita has a run injury after that goalline trap. He then got twisted trying to score and had to dive to flick the ball dead - so if has a rib cartilage injury he could pull up very sore tomorrow
