Just announced , 2025 , we take a home game to Perth again.

No faith in our leadership ...... why take a home game to Perth now?
additional travel , additional routine disruption , away from our " special training ground" away from our "home" ground.

You know I have stated before , if we want to play games in Perth .....we should have had the balls to do a joint venture with Perth and move into a new hybrid world .

At the moment I am very disappointed in our state especially compared to our arch enemies

No real home ground ..... Roosters have us hands down

No Woman's team in the WNRL....Roosters have us hands down

Our current junior territory is no longer large enough to be developing future stars ... Roosters do not care

Our junior recruitment to supplement the territory has been second rate ....Roosters have us hands down

we have a state of art training facility which we are happy to leave so that we can be the travelling circus. Also our training facility has sucked us into a less affluent and slower growth area vs Roosters.

WE may have more members now vs Roosters , however the Roosters position re home ground , woman's team , recruitment , identity in the growing affluent Eastern suburbs and Sydney City region
looks more promising for future.

And compare us to Panthers
Home ground fortress , territory that does provide local talent and how may home games do they take away?

Good point Wheelbarrow.

No womens team in the WNRL at launch is almost criminal, who dropped the ball on this.

SSFC was at the birth of Rugby League in Australia, if we ever get a womens team it'll never make up that we missed out on the first few years.

On Perth - Good govt dollars and a 45k crowd last time we played there against the Sharks (albeit as a part of a double header).

Game against the Sharks this year at Accor in round 6? 12k crowd.

Look , perhaps Solly is great for the short tern dollars which is why our Rich owners keep him , they do not want to invest further ..... however lousy strategy for long and short term football results and future.

Yes we took our home game against Sharks to Perth and lost ..... in the end that was the difference between making and missing the finals. DOLLARS

DOLLARS is also why we do not have a woman's team ....our proposals were and continue to be lower investment strategies

Now not making this years finals is because of travel to Perth.
Lordy

Definitely heard it all this year that's for sure.

It didn’t matter where we played the Sharks last year. We weren’t winning. The difference in making the finals wasn’t where we played but more on how we performed.

Every club takes at least one home game away, if it’s not written into agreements then it’s pretty much expected, it’s not new & it’s every club doing their bit for expansion & it’s good for our bottom line
“Joint venture” I can’t believe a supporter even pushed that

With regards the junior territory, for a dwindling area it still does provide some real gold
We also have a partnership with Townsville Blackhawks & Keebra park high & I believe also an academy in Melbourne, uou can’t say that the club isn’t being proactive in scouting far & wide

You seem obsessed with the chooks

Ellison should be on that list. From all previous correspondence from the club, he was taking over Richo’s role as the head of the football department and since Richo left it has been one cluster f$&k after another

Signing a 75 year old coach as of next season doesn’t really scream we have a plan.

It sounds more like let’s plug this hole before the ship totally sinks.

I’m not saying I’m against the signing of Wayne. In the current climate and under the current circumstances, with the current squad it makes sense

But I want to see appointments and long term plans put in place which will buffer against the Wayne effect when he departs

I’m not seeing a new strong manager of football, an experienced and dynamic head of recruitment or any new coaching structures or appointments throughout all grades apart from Antonelli and Elkin coming in who are part of Wayne’s appointments

It really looks like Solly and Ello are hiding under the desk hoping no one notices they aren’t up to running a football department
Solly isn't going anywhere.
