Not trying to justify the decision made as it’s done and dusted and can and will be argued forever. Right or wrong call, I don’t care, I love Souths and support them. Love Reyno, yep I do and enjoy listening to him every Thursday on MMM in Brisbane, even if it is for the wrong team.

There’s a difference in Cook and Cody and their durability at the same age as Reyno. Cook especially. There’s the difference.

And it’s all based around this supposed “policy” of Souths that only one person on here said soo many ****ing times ad nauseum that it’s starting to almost become fact. A policy that did not exist and had no sway in the decision at the time and a make believe policy that is denied categorically by the people that matter.

So where is the issue? If you understand it all and agree with his decision, then it's time to let it go, let him be a Bronco and you become a Souths supporter again rather than a Reynolds supporter.

Player agents and clubs discuss this with the media all the time both on and off record, this is not rocket science. Gone are the days of speculating players salaries, it's all quite accurate now days if you listen to the players on the podcasts they even admit it.

Rude of you again but not surprising just as I’m not a yes man to every single thing the club does doesn’t mean I’m not a passionate Souths member. You seem to be looking for another argument……..

We didn't keep a good player that easily, easily would have stayed.

Cap space is a dumb **** argument. All clubs can move the jigsaw pieces around to keep who they want, if it comes to it.

We thought he was injury prone (true), we thought Ilias and Taaffe were too good to lose (false). We decided to not keep the good player.

We are now doing the same with Damien Cook.

Silly, silly silly.

Keep good players. Eliminate plodders and also-rans, replace with minimum wage rookies. That's how you manage the cap. Top heavy.

Yet here you are one of the more frequent posters in this thread. I wasn’t the one who started this again by the way. He did an interview on a player podcast with an ex player and that’s what was bought up a mountain out of nothing and it all started again and I commented as I believed people over reacted to what he said.

You make it up like everyone on here and 99% of the media do every day.

You also make up confidential contract negotiations…the most important thing is to really own it and make out that you are in the know.

As we’ve seen with a number of politicians chutzpah beats integrity every day of the week 🤣

I was talking to Kor initially too and you quoted me as you wanted to continue it so you clearly don’t want to move on otherwise you wouldn’t have quoted me,

My 2 cents worth is that with hindsight Reyno should have been given the 3 years that he was asking for but at the time there were rumours that he was carrying injuries and I didn't know if this was true or not, the people that made the decision have been found to be incompetent and have been punted, I think there is one more to follow them shortly (Ello), some people are unfairly taking it out on Lachy, maybe he is not a halfback but I think he is a decent player and I would like to see what he offers under a good coach.

You don’t think Ello will stay? There was a rumour about a month ago that he will stay but in a bit of a lesser role.

Yep, I'm hesitant to hammer Ilias too hard given he only ever played under the one coach with the world's most boring game plan.

I hope he sticks around and kills it in NSW Cup next year.

I mean I won't lose any sleep if he moves on, but I would love to see him play at least a few games under different coaching.

All that I know is that after JD and Schaefer departed it was said on another site that Ello won't be far behind, wait and see I guess.
